Texas was the winningest power conference team for the entire first decade of the 21st century

Well the sec handed them the easiest schedule in the history of the sec to get them to sign on. If they cant do it this year they never will

Why is that?
Georgia? You’re seriously asking that question?

I’m a Bama fan, unapologetically so. We are the standard for a successful program. It’s been that way since before I was in grade school. We aren’t the best team every year, just more than anyone else.

Because of that, i understand what it takes to win titles. Kirby Smart absorbed Saban’s process. He was there for years and got a clear understanding of what works and what doesn’t. He recruits well, he develops them well and he’s been able to keep a lot of his staff together (mostly because schools have raided ours first).

Right now Georgia has the most talented team with elite level coaching. They’ve lost 4 games in 4 years, 3 of which were to us.

If you can’t see that, well just get ready for disappointment.

That’s really cool, but I like to look at a team on a year to year basis and not judge them based off what they did 2 years ago.

Texas hasn't even play an SEC team yet. So yeah, sorry, this is another stupid thread.

So do I.

How has Georgia recruited over the last 4 years, as that is the biggest factor. No worse than 4th. They have talent, experience and depth. They are the team to beat, and if you can’t see that, get ready for disappointment.

What I've seen is their offense struggle.

The only disappointed people are going to be Georgia fans if they can't get their offense figured out. This is why I will be rooting for Georgia next week (I want them undefeated when they come to Austin) but expect Alabama to win. I do not think Georgia's offense will be able to score enough points to win.

They did win a lot, but won the Big 12 only twice in that 10 year span and went 3-7 vs Big Brother Oklahoma during the decade.

Mack certainly had highs and lows. You can argue he underachieved despite his natty and the record you cite.

Wait, if Oklahoma is our “big brother” for going 6-4* against Texas in that decade, what does that make A&M to Texas for going 2-8 vs Texas in the same time period?

I think we had 10-win seasons that whole decade, I admit you'd think more would come of it.

I hate Aggy as much as anyone, but it's a little early to make this statement.

Actually, you finished number 5 in both polls with losses that year to Florida and LSU at home. But who's counting.
