and the Cotton bowl isn’t a playoff game this year so they are in the mix. What are you even trying to say?

That the Sugar Bowl is contractually obligated to take the top SEC team, unless they are in the playoff. Last year, the #2 team was Georgia, so they went to the Sugar.

This year, the Sugar is a playoff game, and therefore there is no SEC tie in. The Orange Bowl is contractually obligated to take the best non-playoff ACC team - which was North Carolina. They also take the highest seeded non-assigned team, which was Texas A&M.

So, I'm explaining to you why Texas A&M is in the Orange Bowl and Georgia was in the Sugar Bowl last year.

quote:

CONTRACT BOWLS
- Sugar (SEC vs. Big 12 when Sugar is not a semifinal game) (SEMIFINAL GAME, NOT A CONTRACT BOWL)
- Rose (Pac 12 vs. Big Ten when Rose is not a semifinal game)
- Orange (ACC vs. highest ranked SEC/Big Ten non-champion or Notre Dame when Orange is not a semifinal game) (ACC HIGHEST RANKED NON-PLAYOFF UNC) (HIGHEST RANKED SEC/B10 NON CHAMPION = TEXAS A&M)

You were literally told either of the rules and you still don’t understand. Are you slow?

Aggies ran from OU because of what the recruiting implications would be when they got their Asse kicked

No, we are just tired of playing Big 12 teams in bowl games. There is a reason we left that conference. Playing bowl games against Ok. State, Kansas State, West Virginia, and even OU is about as interesting as watching a nonconference game against Tarleton State.

I would much rather play a shite ACC team in the Orange Bowl than another Big 12 team in the Cotton Bowl.
