We beat LSU and still have Geogia and OK. A resurgent FL team is lingering.
And the Egg Bowl is in the cowbell patch this year. I am slowing my roll until we see what happens at UGA and OK.

Penalties are going to bite us in the arse if we dont clean that up. It’s maddening.

A&M is so inconsistent. If you can limit Reed to just a couple of deep throws, A&M could go far

A&M could easily lose 2 of 3 at LSU, at Mizzou, and at Texas.

Those are all 15-25 type teams right now with major questions or limitations.

I would favor A&M over each of them based on what we’ve seen YTD but that’s why they play the games.

Those three on the road is a much harder ask IMO.

But he was comparing it to a schedule like you see for Bama where it’s:
@#4 UGA
16 Vandy
@19 Mizzou
15 TN
@SC
13 LSU
5 OU
@AU

It’s almost impossible not to drop a game or two dealing with that week to week, meanwhile IU is ranked ahead of Bama because they beat Illinois and Oregon is #2 for beating soon to be unranked PSU in OT.

And Bama lost by 2 TDs to soon to be unranked FSU

The season will play itself out.

They avoid Ole Miss, UGA, Bama, OU and Tennessee and still bitch about how hard they have it.

Not our fault Texas and LSU turned out to suck.

Were they not the top 2 preseason picks from media days?

A&M has not won in Baton Rouge since 1994.

Like LSU-Ole Miss, the away team always has a difficult time on the road in the series, no matter how good or bad the home team is.

A&M also won their first road T10 game in forever against ND. They seem to have a very un-A&M mental makeup so far. But a lot of football left

Not A&M’s fault you dropped the series when they beat you twice in LSU in 92 & 94.

When the dust settles, will Ole Miss have a win over a team ranked at the time of CFP selection?

Your issue will be when you are down 10 and need to change your offensive plan, and ask Reed to go win the game with 5 wide.he can’t do that.

Guess you were asleep and didn’t watch the ND game

I expect LSU to drop only another 2-3 games, so they very well could stay ranked. We beat Tulane 45-10; they are 4-1 and a win over Memphis would put them in top 25, maybe top 20. Beyond that, we’d need to win on the road against OK and/or UGA to get another ranked win (very slim chance that SC, FL, or MSU could lose to us and still be ranked).

This is a post only an idiot would make.

We play an SEC schedule and still have @UGA and @Oklahoma.

UF just beat Texas.

Then we have to go to MSU for the Eggbowl.

Just shut up. If Ole Miss or ANY other SEC team manages to win 10 games in the regular season they will have EARNED a playoff spot.

Unlike every other conference.

Truth. In fact, depending on how the dust settles, I could make a damn good argument for some 9-3 SEC teams getting in.

A&M will go back to 8-4 once they play a regular SEC slate next year

I’m fine with A&M vs Ole Miss in the SECCG as long as we make the playoff. Being a 6 or 7 seed isn’t bad at all the way they set up the brackets
