Many Arkansas fans were posting on another board that Madden would never take a snap at Arkansas. This was 3 weeks ago. How prophetic.

Petrino had some good things to say about him.

“Madden’s a special talent now,” Petrino said. “He can really get the ball out of his hands. He sees stuff and has a great, quick release.”

"But somebody pops open and he can stick it and put it right on their hands," Petrino said. "The last guy that I coached that did that a lot as a true freshman was Lamar Jackson. You know where you don’t see anything but all of a sudden they throw a post for a touchdown and everyone’s going, ‘Damn, how did he see that?’ That wasn’t even in his progression. But that ability is something that is hard to coach. And his vision is just something that’s really good."

You wouldn't call it a kilt in their faces.

Nico was only staying at Tennessee for the money. The money is how they got Nico to sign with them. The truth is UCLA can give Nico what he and his family want (the money and a scholarship for his little brother) plus it's close to home and in a better football conference.

The players don't care about that shite as long as the money is right and they're prepared for the NFL. UCLA can provide foundation for an NFL career.

This is either extreme delusion, someone that doesn't know ball, or a poor troll attempt. Maybe all three

The reality is we don't know what Nico and Madden are getting money wise. We do know they are both at UCLA playing in the best college football conference in the country.

What I believe is Tennessee had to pay a premium b/c Nico and the family never cared to be at Tennessee.

Arkansas isn't an upgrade over a UCLA program in the B10.

Nico's brother was committed to UCLA for 8 months and then flipped to Arkansas on signing day.

Why would he do that if he wanted to play at UCLA? Just a dumb family.

If we presume he has similar reported motivations as his brother, perhaps the NIL deal with Arkansas was bigger or more favorably structured.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
