We've accomplished as much in baseball as LSU has in basketball.

Been to the final 4 multiple times, never won a title. Actually more as we've been to the national title game 2 times to LSU's 0 in basketball. More conference titles.

Yea, LSU capitalized in the NCAAT in the 80s

Wrong again George. You are usually sharper than this.

LSU also made it to the Final Four in 1953 and 2006.
Only 25-30 teams have made at least four.
That's our claim to fame. It ain't great, but it's better than bama.

All I'm trying to say is that while I certainly knew what your fellow crimson tard fan was trying to do with this troll, Bama fans should really keep the trolling to the only sport they are known for. Really man. Can we at least agree on that point?

That’s fair.

You guy can troll us about your 1-2 baseball team and barely above .500 basketball team.

Yea, clearly I remember 2006.

1953......congrats I guess. The NIT was a bigger tournament until about 1960. LSU finished ranked 14th.

LOL - Alabama fans can't troll in basektball? Historically, sure, but current day? Coming from the "Will Wade Greatest Coach of All Time" crowd?

Come on

And, I assume you can agree Alabama Baseball has accomplished just as much as LSU Basketball historically. Correct?

You’re implying that we thought we were supposed to be really good in basketball this year?

You don't consider gymnastics a major sport though?

Their athletic department is really struggling right now, but Will Wade is going to get it going in basketball

Ed O is going to inevitably run that football program into the ground, though.

The Tournament started in 1939. That's why I did not list the 1935 NC in basketball that many believe LSU won.

Does bama count NC's in football before 1950?
You know from 1892-1950 where the USA went to two World Wars and had The Great Depression. What percentage of the population even attended college back then? Maybe 5%?

Pay Attention. I said bama fans "should really keep to trolling the only sport they are known for". I don't see the word "can't" in that statement.
You are slipping George. Did you have a long weekend?

You know you're losing when you try to compare apples to oranges.
This is what I do know, and that we should both be able to agree on-LSU is better than bama in both basketball and baseball.

Thanks for playing George. I had fun toying with you. You are usually more formidable.

Except their was a rival tournament that was every bit the NCAAT equal and mostly it's superior, so the comparison doesn't really work.

However, remove those "pre-1950" titles and Alabama still laps the field in national titles.

How does that have anything to do with the individual who played sports?

Either way, ignore anything pre-WW2 or pre-integration. I'm fine with that.

Alabama football > LSU baseball
Alabama baseball > LSU basketball
LSU football > Alabama basketball

And LSU hasn't been better than Alabama in basketball in a decade.......and boy that's sad.

Have a good night Cloud.

Why does everyone (including Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina,UCLA, etc etc etc) claim Final Fours and not the NIT as it relates to NCAAt success?

quote:

Because all college sports pre-WW2 were basically just club sports taken seriously by only a few dozen teams with little or no recruiting as compared to today's game.

quote:

Alabama football > LSU baseball
Alabama baseball > LSU basketball
LSU football > Alabama basketball

I have no idea wtf any of that means.

This is what I think:
Alabama football > LSU Football (LSU still a top 10-15 program)

LSU basketball>Alabama basketball (neither are in the top 25 historically-and that's just sad IMO-LSU may be top 30-bama is not even top 50 IMO)

LSU baseball>Alabama baseball (LSU is 1-5 historically and bama isn't even a top 25 program IMO).

That's apples to apples. Cmon George. Are you feeling well?

LSU basketball all time and even in the last few decades > than Bama basketball. Truth.
LSU baseball all time and even in the last few decades > Alabama baseball.
Alabama football is better than LSU football all time and lately, but we will be back and have won o few national titles in the sport and numerous sec titles. Bama hasn't won jack shite or really ever been in contention for a natty in baseball or basketball, beside when we stomped that arse in the cws in '97.

Current win streaks

Football : Alabama - 7
Basketball : Alabama - 5
Baseball : LSU - 4

I give LSU all the room they want to massacre our baseball program with trolls. It's currently very not good, regardless of our sweep of Bryce Drew State. Bohanan has a lot of work to do.

However, we're clearly currently better than LSU in the other 2 sports. And it isn't really close.

Boy these LSU corkscrews have gotten bad. L7U has killed them. They are no longer NFL U and Bama Busts are straight blowing up the NFL.

So now it's well our BB and baseball programs are better yours. Hey, if it let's them sleep at night knowing that their football program is fixing to fall off the map...

So Bama basketball is better than LSU and more prestigeous on a national level than LSU basketball is? You can't be serious. Look at the accolades and team accomplishments and the players each program has produced. You're nuts.

Oklahoma has less titles but more weeks in the top 2-3.

As Cloud said above, I'm guessing they'd switch 5 #2s for 2 #1s in a heartbeat.

Are you arguing with the AP or arguing with me about modern day? If you are arguing history, take it up with the AP.

If you are arguing today, well LOL.
