Well if LSU did let her walk on she would never kick in a real situation because we already have good kickers. Maybe an extra point or field goal in a blowout. But she can barely make 40 yard field goals. i doubt she makes the team.

I don't think females should be playing college football. More power to her if she can make it, but I see it as a publicity stunt.
I don't think she will ever get the opportunity to kick in a big game, but that's JMO.
I love Mo and she is well received by the LSU fanbase but if she were out on the field, she would be another player and would deal with the negatigers who would be harder on her just because she is a woman. IMO.

Would she be able to tackle someone if needed?
Yeah, because some of the kickers that I've seen are super tough and athletic.

What the frick does that have to do with playing football? Particularly her looks. Anyone on a football field could get hurt badly.

Shes a smokestack, let her kick a gamewinner in a big game... smack talk potential is epic

I'd like to see some SEC women's football.

How many kickers in the history of college football have been worth a damn at tackling?

I don't doubt that she can do it, but I think it is too much of a distraction.
I don't think she can out kick the kickers we have now to ever get put in a situation to kick a game winning field goal. If she makes the team, she may get to kick in a blow out game. I respect her for trying though.

We'd need some HS women's football first. Otherwise it would be like powderpuff games and suck arse.

LSU coach Les Miles said. "But obviously she's got ball skills. She's been around it."

from the article
"Isom, who is six feet tall, kicked a 51-yard field goal on the LSU practice field while working on her own with LSU kickers Brad Wing and Drew Alleman last August."
"She has always had a very strong leg. In 2008, she became the first LSU goalkeeper in history to score a goal when she boomed a soaring boot in from 90 yards away on a free kick against Brigham Young. The play made ESPN's top 10 plays."

You kind of missed the point. The vast majority of kickers blow at tackling.

At least WE wouldn't have to worry about another fake kick

i didnt read the article but i already knew about that supposed 51 yarder. still in the video i watched she missed a bunch of 40 yarders.

She's a broadcast journalism major, so it would make sense to be one. In that business it's who you are and not how good you are. ESPN alone has proven that recently.

A few years ago Pitt's kicker was also a cage fighter. He was pretty good in the tacking aspect on kickoffs and punts
