1 - attendance (despite MORE fans going to Thrasher games over LI & Arizona)
2 - "We did everything we could to try to help"....except NEVER even being in Atlanta
3 - "no local buyers were interested" WTF?

You can find find many things on the Net about it.

My personal issue is they bent over backwards for Arizona instead of giving Winnipeg their team back.

I just always assumed that low attendance was the cause. Most people in the south does not care about hockey much so I just figured they wanted to put another team in Canada where hockey is the national pastime.

The Panthers have had the best refs money can buy helping them along.

Vegas should take the cup this year.

Glad you all enjoy it! But get ready to bow down again to Gary Betman and the NHL darlings again for the next decade.

The NHL playoffs are great, even if my Carolina Hurricanes are about to get knocked out.

Hockey is right up there with soccer and the WNBA in the watchability categories. I’d rather watch a good cricket match or Kabaddi.

Yeah, this is just an ignorant take.

Bad ownership.

It was never an attendance issue.

Yes! The NHL playoffs are fire. The NBA is soft and don't get me started with the load management BS. I'm done with the NBA. I'll watch hockey any day, especially the playoffs.
