The first is probably true, Auburn would have wins over #1 twice, #5 and the SEC title. That’s a lot to counter 2 losses.
UT was never getting in with 2 losses. They needed a lot to happen with 1 loss.
LSU was going to be a stretch this year with 2 losses, but might have gotten in.
