There are at least five coaches better than Jimbo just off the top of my head. Two of which are in the SEC. Only A&M believe the lie that Jimbo is an elite coach.

He went like 5-7 his final season. I don’t know what’s so hard to grasp about my post. Did I want him at LSU the year before? Yes. Would I have wanted him at that price tag after that final season? No. Elite coaches don’t have seasons like that in their prime.

So because a few bums say they want Jimbo, all LSU fans want him. Ok! Go read my post never did and never will want him. Great recruiter bad X and O coach. Will get Faggy program into maybe a top 5 program for a very short time then program will crash as did FS. Won’t ever win NC unless another all world QB falls into his lap. I guess if you’re willing to buy him out if things go south then it doesn’t matter. The not worth it take assumes you’re married to him for at least 7 or 8 years at the very least, which is a risky proposition for any coach not named Nick Saban. 99.9% of schools are not going to buy out 30+ million on a Hc halfway through the deal, buy out his staff for say ~3 million, go pay some other coaches buyout, say ~10 million, then pay that coach the going rate. Even if they have the money, that’s a lot of cheese.
But it’s true that if A&M will pay all that if Jimbo is 5-7 in a few years then you’re right, the price tag doesn’t matter
