It's not Brian Kelly's job to diagnose tumors.
It is Brian Kelly’s job to make sure LSU’s football program has a medical staff that is able to diagnose tumors or refer to someone who can in a timely manner. LSU’s medical staff cleared Brooks to play in multiple games, the last only days before his emergency brain surgery.
All it took to diagnose was an MRI. There are 40 million performed in the US annually and some stadiums now even have them on site.
LSU’s medical staff was like “nah, you good, rub some dirt on it and get back out there.”

There are times I want to think you are just trolling, but I think you just might be the dumbest person on this board.

Based on your posts lately, you may want to seek out an MRI yourself.

I seriously doubt Brian Kelly hires medical staff, but I guess I could be wrong.

You should stick to women’s basketball and writing letters to Kin Mulkey.

CEO’s rarely make many hires. But when tnings go to hell, they get canned. It is just the way the world works. Ultimately, Brian Kelly is responsible for the LSU football program.
It is like the old saying goes, “everyone wants to be the captain until it is time to do captain shite”. When a ship sinks, it is the captain’s responsibility, regardless of who did what, because it is his job to make sure the crew won’t sink the boat.

I realize that you're one of the biggest trolls on this forum, but you post some of the most asinine things.
Not only do you not know how lawsuits work, you also don't have a clue on who hires the medical staff.

It's one thing to be an opposing fan and bash another program.
It's quite another thing to just flat out lie and spread rumors that have already been debunked. Next time do some research and perhaps not believe everything you read.
You must be a damn liberal.

So you are saying it is completely on the LSU medical staff. Where does the buck stop there? Micki Collins?

It's a violation of NCAA rules for a coach to be involved in any employment decisions related to the medical staff, you dunce.

Objection. Speculation.

It'd literally be against the rules for him to do so, or be involved in any medical decisions at all.

quote:ok. So why is this a coaches decision. Your health care is yours. We know nothing, was it intermittent, transient, mild, debilitating? We don’t know. I do know if I went to the Dr w same symptoms I bet I would be treated for vertigo for months before they proceeded w a scan. Insurance wouldn’t dream of paying for it
It's in the best interest of the football program to have there athletes at their best physically. I'll agree 39 days of the same symptoms seems to be a bit much and hopefully the protocol changes going forward,

quote:let’s go with your analogy. How many CEOs have been canned because employees got brain tumors. Did LSU football start a chemical lab that caused it? I don’t think we have a bunch of chemists on roster

So you agree that the head coach has zero responsibility for the safety or health of players, that is 100% on the medical staff?
Posted on 5/9/25 at 4:18 pm to captdalton
quote:people confuse different arguments. Kelly can often decide a player isn’t game ready in spite of being cleared, so in a small way he does let medical conditions influence playing time. But as you stated, in no world is a SEC head coach with a kinesiology degree overriding anyone.
