I've always liked Smokey. I just read on wikipedia that he is taken care of and lives with the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, which upon further research, is agriculture frat.

I can't imagine our mascot being taken care of by a fraternity, especially the ag fraternity. Not at UGA.

It makes me wonder how many beers and bong hits that dog has partaken, and how many under-the-bed stashes he has eaten.

That dog high in a motherfricker...

AGR's were pretty cool at the schools where I have been. Not your normal "frat daddy" image and were pretty laid back guys.

Or how many boxes of Franzia they've tried to funnel up that poor dogs butt.

Despite being at a pretty agricultural school (MSU), I only saw a few of them. That said, the few I met and dealt with seemed pretty nice.

Mexicans grow the best in KY in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Used to be a good place to hike, now I would not go there on a dare and risk running up on some illegal field.

I know where that is and know exactly what you're talking about. Ain't no diff in E. TN weed and E. KY weed.

Used to be the same with shine, but at least you knew the folks when you came on the still and got to sit a sip a spell. These dope folks just take you out. I miss the old days.

I think a lot depends on whose patch you stumble across. The non-cartel types won't harm anyone but the others will. Right now there's a bit of a war between the old pot growers and Mexican-cartel growers who want to take over the trade. TN and KY are up there with California in terms of the sheer amount of weed produced. It's crazy how much is grown here.

:kige:

Problem is the cartel folks are the ones growing the most on government land. The non cartel folks would not shoot at the Blackhawks!

The Cornbread Mafia used to run the weed trade in Kentucky. Maybe they still do.

Smokey is a tough old hound dog. Uga is a frail arse house dog. Smokey will be fine.

I think UT and UGA fans are in basic agreement: Smokey and Uga rock.

Have to admit, I do like Smokey. Heck, most dog mascots rock.

Of course, while we're actually playing you I may shamefully use words like 'mutt', 'fleabitten', 'cur', 'mange', etc. But it's wrong and I feel bad about it later.

Smokey is actually pretty awesome.
