But the fact that he won 9 games in the toughest SEC West in history with Chris Relf as QB should have garnered him SEC Coach of the Year.
He only had one win against West teams that year...?

If I was in a business and the object was to sell things and another business sold more of the same items and made more money than I did. Then you have to say that that other business is better at what we do than we are.
Thats common sense to me. Can you accept that principle?
So...is the quarterback's business to throw for yardage and score touchdowns...or to win football games?
So far, MSU's record with Dak starting is 23-10 - (70% winning percentage)
Manning's record as a starter was 38-6 - (86% winning percentage)
If you've got the game won...you don't need to keep throwing the football. That's common sense to me. Can you accept that principle?

All are lucky JFF only played 2 years.
Just looked it up. 93 total TDs in 2 years. Not too shabby.

Dak does more with less, and is far from done also.

poor bastard. Including Florida fans, Chris Leak's achievements were literally erased by Tim Tebow. Case and point, all you ever hear from anyone is "Tebow won 2 championships at Florida".

Lastly, people significantly overvalue Peyton due to his NFL success. That is not to say that he didn't have an elite college career, but it makes these type of discussions nearly impossible.

for sure. Anyone who can win the amount of games that he has at State, should be considered god-like. Enshrine him now! I'm serious...

I know it's because he plays for MSU, but it's awful how the best QB in the SEC has no media attention at all.
He is going to carry MSU to an 8 or 9 win season. Hell, maybe even 10 wins after the bowl game.

2 years in-a-row. If he played for Ohio State, he'd be in consideration for the Heisman with 2 loses.

Tebow 145
Murray 137
Wuerfell 122
Peyton 101
Leak 101
Dak 100
How many of these guys had 1,000 yard rushers in their backfield when they were starters?
Tebow never had any.
Murray had Gurley over 1,000 for 1 season
Wuerfell had Taylor over 1,000 for 1 season
Leak had Fason over 1,000 for 1 season
Dak has had Robinson over 1,000 for 1 season.
Manning had Lewis over 1,000 for 1 season, Graham over 1,000 for 1 season, and Stewart over 1,000 for 1 season.
Manning wasn't running a spread offense...he was running an old school pro-set offense. He had three 1,000 yard rushers in his backfield...heck...in '94, he was less than 200 yards away from having two in the backfield at the same time. He put up his numbers without having a lopsided offense to skew the stats.

Just looking at a few years of Wuerffel and Manning, in '95 Tennessee ranked 42nd in rushing, Florida was 48th. In '96, UT was 15th, UF was 18th.
It is also worth pointing out that in his first two years Wuerffel split some time with Terry Dean. Dean had 37 passing touchdowns in '93 and '94, Wuerffel had 40.

It works both ways. You could also say he put up those numbers with a significant running threat to help shoulder the load. Dak, for the most part, has had to shoulder the load on his own. Also, I've mentioned before, UT without Manning is 1000% better than MSU without Dak, so Dak should get some credit for how mediocre his supporting staff has been.
I'm not saying one is better than the other, but just trying to play devil's advocate as an unbiased observer.

It is part Tebow and part that he had the Zook stigma to deal with.

Nothing on the face of this earth makes an Ole Miss fan madder than a black, successful MSU Quarterback.

Manziel had 93 total TDs in only two years. 100 shouldn't be that hard if you start at QB for three years.
Cam had 51 on his one year at Auburn, while Johnny had 47 in the only year he played every game (year one).

No doubt. I watched or recorded and watched every single aTm game then.
