Since some are still choosing to harp on A&M’s class…

Nick Saban goes 7-6 in his first year at Alabama (2007), yet somehow manages to pull the #1 class in 2008. How is that possible?

Nick Saban was already considered a great recruiter and Alabama pulled in top recruits even when they sucked.

By paying them, duh. Same thing Pay&M did this year.

Y’all have had top 5 and 10 classes. Still not scared.

Because Jimbo is in year 5 and not a good coach anymore

Comparing Jimbo to Saban now?

Playing time, track record of rebuilding and success, and opportunity. Plus, who doesn't like chargers and free suits
Had he been 39-20 over his last 5 seasons as a HC, .500 in conference in year 4 of his current program, I think he'd be facing the same scrutiny as Jimbo and Aggie right now.
No one cares that Aggie leveraged the NIL opportunity available to them. But, why deny that is clearly the difference

The class isn't the issue. Jimbo being the head coach is the reason why you guys won't do shite with it.

Welcome to "As the Plains Burn 2022." No one gives a rat's arse about the Texas 8$4 recruiting class.

So had Jimbo. He had been pulling top 5 and 10 classes before this one. And A&M with Sumlin had pulled better classes than Alabama before Saban, including a top 5 class.
Btw, here are Alabama's classes before Saban's first one:
2007-10
2006-11
2005-18
2004-15
2003-46
2002-30
Here are Jimbo's before the most recent:
2021-8
2020-6
2019-4
2018-17 (Hired around 1st signing period)

You seriously don't see the difference in the situations between Nick's first recruiting class at Bama vs. Jimbo's 4th or 5th (whatever it is) at 8&4? Hint - in Bama's situation Saban was the factor that changed in recruiting vs the previous years. IN 8&4's situation NIL is the only thing that has changed in comparison to previous years.

$25-30k Charger for 5* players vs north of six figures for 5* players.

Jimbo is also known as a great recruiter and won a national championship which means he had the same amount of success as Saban when Saban had his first top recruiting class at Alabama. Now how will you move the goal post?

Most of these relationships were established during A&M's 9-1 season. Many of the rest were at the Alabama game where the atmosphere was second to none including where we had the first assistant to knock off Saban. Throw in the coaching changes at Oklahoma, LSU, Auburn, Florida, Texas's bad season, and all of these factors led to an incredible class. Every program has NIL, not just A&M.

Just total BS there is no good atmosphere at A&M...its straight NIL all the way...no one cares but everyone knows

THIS!
The denial and Jimbo saying it’s Bc of the 12th man and academics is laughable. Then for him to inject cheating if other programs, shows he’s worried and should be. AM went full on SMU in the first year of NIL and used “pay-for-play”, which is illegal.
