I will never go into the game against Bama thinking it's a lock. LSU will have to spread the field and attack thru the air to win. Trying to pound the rock for 4 QTRS is not going to work.

Alabama has been a lock on our schedule since Gus was hired

Well if you measure any defense of the last 25 years (save for 2001 Miami) against the 2011 version, it's going to come up short. Every starter is in the NFL and it held opponents to 188 YPG.

What the frick does that have to do with anything?

Since he gets all the credit during the Chizik era, why did AU lose in 2009 and 2011?

That may very well happen... But you won't be able to stop us... our ball control offense is going to wear your defense down and limit your possessions.

Who do you think you are LSU? Not once has a bama team in the Saban era been able to limit TOP against a high octane spread team

I guess you've missed the Ole Miss games. But you probably want to forge them altogether for obvious reasons.

Am I? I find it funny that because Alabama's D was lit up by Trickett this weekend, we're now bringing up stats from 2011.

Isn't it clear? Alabama could lead the SEC in total and scoring defense for a seventh consecutive season, but the numbers wouldn't compare to previous defenses. Regardless, we were having this conversation last year after the A&M game.

Y'all need to get your stories straight. In recruiting, Alabama is loaded and players shouldn't sign with UA. The beginning of a season, we suck. But our schedule is easy, yet we will lose five games and had atrocious defensive numbers. This is all hard to keep up with.

I have never said Alabama would lose 5 games. But it is possible

From afar, it seems bama's own fans are some of the worst "chicken littles" and even little Nicky has taken some shots from the peanut gallery types there. I've not heard much from the cocks but can only imagine what their fan base sounds like now. Their only saving grace is Clemson sucked just as much. bama is not horrible but very much human as those last two games from last yr proved & in giving up 400 yrds to an average at best W.Vir team this yr.

I think we are about 50-50 on beating Bama. That might change during the season one way or another. Bama is still a great team and our game with y'all will be a battle as usual.

If we went back a year the same people were saying the same things.
We looked like a 7-5 team.
Same as this year.
Bet against Bama. You will get rich.
