Since a&m seems to be hot topic who do they hire as OC?

It's obvious Jimbo is staying but 100 percent he will be not calling the plays next season. How would A&M fans feel about Scott frost? He runs a wide open pass happy offense and will be starting over as an OC.He wasn't a good recruiter at Neb but he would not have to be a big time recruiter at A&M.He will be hungry to prove himself again. He will be also be available in Dec.At the end of the season.

Scott Frost, Tom Herman, and Dan Mullen honestly would all be good OCs while Jimbo can just be the the recruiter he is.
The problem is Jimbo has been a playcaller for over 25 years now. Even if he were to hire another OC, be honest with yourself, do you really see him sitting idly by and hearing someone else call plays and not interjecting when they call something that he doesn't agree with? Because there's really no point if he's going to step in and "correct" all the calls he doesn't agree with.

I’m a Tom Herman fan, but we rarely poach from former tu people and vice versa.

And not being able to field a defense is a non issue if he's willing to be an OC again, that wouldn't be his responsibility.

I agree. Before the OP details this football conversation, I’ll cite how Miami poached Michigan’s OC, the award winning OC from last year, inherited a 1st round QB, and is horrible.
Not saying Tom Herman wouldn’t work. But hiring the most popular OC name can have struggles. It’s not a definite home run as most say here.
