Read Dandy Don --- Sid is not doing well, moved to hospice care.... seriously the poor kid may not make it until Nov 7th.

Les invited him to the game, but family had to decline as Sid's health does not allow for travel at this point.

Sad story, but the end is near for this young man.

this is so hoorible

Damn, that sucks. I hope he is at least able to watch. And if he does, I hope gameday shows a bunch of Sid posters and CBS shows the helmet stickers if they wear them.

I take pride in the fact that we went to BR and let LSU beat the shite out of us. For Sid's sake.

Sad story. Hope his final days are peaceful. Thoughts and prayers to his friends and family as well

Eta: I've always thought of Les as the goofy doofus we all know and love, but I've become a fan of his after his interaction and relationship with Sid. Very kind of Les to make a boy's final days so special

No. I mean it. I hate that we lost, but if it's going to be to anyone I'm glad SID got to see his team get a nice win. He also got to see the white/purple/white.

That's the problem with message boards. You have no idea what my tone was.

Basically what I am saying is, it's nice to see LSU keep winning against ANYONE because this is what Sid has right now. Football is his distraction... wish he could go to the Bama game and do the coin toss..

That's really sad. I hope the kid makes it to see the game and I hope he has a peaceful last few weeks.

Completely understand the God part. I lost a son and felt...and still occasionally feel...the same way.

I've thought about posting a message to Sid's dad since he posts on Tigerdroppings and tell him if he needs to talk to someone who completely understands, I'd be honored to do it. I just don't think it's the time yet, though.

I pray for Sid every day and I think about him multiple times a day. Maybe the LSU team..or Fournette...could visit him if he makes it long enough to see the LSU-Bama game and feels up to it. Anything to make his day and time left the best humanly possible.

Geaux Sid!!!

I'm downvoting. Not because you did anything wrong, just that I don't like this news.

I'm really sorry for your loss... I can't imagine how you and other parents cope with the loss of a child. I still pray for Sid and his family harder than ever, but it leaves me feeling empty because it's clear God has already made up his mind.

There's a reason for that.
