From Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report:

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma
4. Ohio State
5. LSU
6. Georgia
7. Texas A&M
8. Wisconsin
9. Michigan
10. Florida
11. USC
12. Iowa State
13. Boise State
14. Virginia Tech
15. Baylor
16. Auburn
17. Penn State
18. Memphis
19. Texas
20. Notre Dame
21. UCF
22. Iowa
23. Oregon
24. Indiana
25. Tennessee

I imagine we'll see a lot of Way too Early rankings in the next couple of weeks that look similar...

*Clemson & Alabama #1 and #2 because that's all any of these people know what to do.
*Texas A&M and Tennessee way over-rated
*Auburn stuck right in the middle because no one ever knows which direction they'll go
*Texas and Notre Dame always inserted somewhere between #15 and #20, no matter how good they'll actually be.

After pretty much everyone in the media whiffed on Iowa State last year, I find it odd this person would double down and move them up even higher for next year's preseason.

Way too much stock in returning starters for A&M.

My first thought was, if tua leaves there's no way bama should be #2. But then I thought well how good will OU/LSU really be with new Qbs as well? Surprised OSU isn't the 2 or 3 spot.

Also aTm at 7 wtf?

I agree. Bama has enough talent that it doesn't matter how many players they lose early to the NFL, there are only 2-3 teams on their schedule even capable of giving them a game.

They go to LSU next year. They get Georgia and Auburn at home. Tennessee in Knoxville might keep it close for a half, but they're not there yet to compete with Bama. And USC isn't going to give them much of a game either.

Lol it was a one score game midway into the 4th quarter in Tuscaloosa if our QB doesn’t lose his god damn mind.

They will have either a true freshman QB or scrub Mac Jones playing their first real road game of the year against a defense that returns 8 starters. Could easily be the best chance we’ve had to beat them in a decade

bama is bama and they're always going to be elite or damn near it as long as saban is there, BUT..I'm very curious to see how they look next year if they lose all those stud receivers plus tua. Obviously they'll still be good but it's hard not to think they take a step back losing 3 NFL receivers/tua/najee. And the defense this year was maybe the worst of the saban era.

Clam will be a pretty good bet at #1 with returning Trevor Lawrence and Ohio State with Fields in his 2nd year is a solid #2. Then Bama only because QB isn't as dynamic as 1 & 2. After that a I have a bunch of SEC teams leading the top 10

1. Clemson - Lawrence and return a lot on defense.
2. Ohio State - year 2 with Fields.
3. Alabama - stacked roster just need some leadership on defense.
4. Georgia - stacked roster and Fromm's 4th year.
5. Florida - Mullen will win the SECE soon and has the Gatas moving in right direction. He's gonna get them to the CFPOS soon.
6. Oklahoma
7. Texas A&M -Jimbo gonna turn them around .. see bug improvement soon
8. Wisconsin
9. Auburn
10. Michigan
11. Lsu1* - will take a big step back.. could end up losing 4+ games as their road schedule is going to be brutal for them. Bama, @Aub, @TAMU, @UF ...better hope they don't frick up and lose to Texas in game #2 as they be staring down a 5 loss season which would absolutely kill any momentum they'd have for being in round 1 of playoffs.

It’ll depend on what juniors we get back (not even counting Tua). If we get 1 of our tackles back and maybe 1 of Ruggs and Smith back then this could be the best Bama team of the last 5 years.

our roster should be stacked every year under kirby but a lot of big pieces next year will be inexperienced or brand new. That's what made 2017 so special, we had a crap ton of upperclass leadership especially the 4 juniors that decided to come back.

Next year we're going to replace both offensive tackles, our star safety, swift, our best WR, blankenship, etc. We'll be talented for sure but lots of guys at really important spots that will be getting their first PT.

I would bet today sight unseen that BOTH Florida and Auburn would beat aTm next year along with Daddy LSU.
It is incredibly stupid to even imagine Florida or Auburn losing to aTm. It’s not gonna happen.
aTm has a week schedule on the front end and will likely be undefeated going into the Auburn game on October 17.
They play Arkansas and State before Auburn and will be riding high thinking they have something and the Auburn will slam the door on their asses.
They then play South Carolina, ole Piss and Vandy. They may win all three but likely lose one of them.
Then they have Bama and LSU to end the season. They get fricking slammed by both. They beat they can get is 9-3. That’s the ceiling with Mond.
They probably go 8-4 if the truth is to be told.

Tennessee vs. Alabama in the 2010s:

2010: Lost by 31
2011: Lost by 31
2012: Lost by 31
2013: Lost by 35
2014: Lost by 14
2015: Lost by 5
2016: Lost by 39
2017: Lost by 38
2018: Lost by 37
2019: Lost by 22

Average loss was by 28.3 points

Yep, 2020 will be your best shot to beat them in a decade. Maybe you'll only lose by 3 touchdowns.

That’s pretty close to Georgia’s record vs rotating west opponents since Kirby took over

Kirby is 5-3 (63%) against rotating west teams. Quiiiiiiite a bit higher than 28%.
