Aggies hadn't won in Lubbock from 93 to whatever.
They got away from Texas horns. Good for them. As a tech guy, I think tech needs to be close to the horns. It's in our best interest. No matter how much everyone thinks differently from my side.

Live in Kentucky but grew up in Houston. Always liked Tech fans better than Aggy. Lot more fun and not nearly as pretentious. Plus, they have really hot GIRL cheerleaders!

We appreciate your interest in our Red Raiders, we respect and admire the level of play in (most of) your conference. We’re not suffering from some collective delusion of grandeur like some other schools in our state. If we can’t consistently beat Texas and OU, we’re not trying to lose a bunch of games on CBS.
We’re not obsessed with traditions, but we wouldn’t trade playing our rivals. We may not have the best record in football, but we certainly wouldn’t trade it for revenue,
LOL, that being said, our current athletic budget is under $86 million. I assure you, if Tech’s budget was over $211 million, we would be a national championship contender every single year.

Aggy's budget isn't that much (more like $150-$160 MM). Their revenues are greatly inflated because they count bond sale proceeds (debt to be paid off) as income but don't count that revenue as an expense, nor do they count donations and taxes (yes, aggy is paying off part of their debt as hotel occupancy taxes and student fees) as an expense.
Thus, their revenues and "profit" are highly inflated.
Now watch aggy roll out with the insults not not one refutation of these facts. Lassie is a scalded dog.
