They wouldn’t have. Trust and believe the Democrats want nothing more to leave Trump in the past. That’s why we voted his arse out. He made that Georgia call and everyone was sort of chuckling bc he already got impeached for that shite once... his perfect phone call trying to rig an election forever ago. Nobody wanted to impeach him again. We’re sick to death of him and he was going to get hit with state level charges in NY anyway.

That was an attempted coup. As more comes out, it reminds me of that military psyop to remove the statue of Saddam Hussein. Within that crowd, there were people who genuinely wanted to kill Pelosi and Pence. They just failed bc Trump always fails. Don’t brush domestic terrorism under the rug. We look like a gd hillbilly banana republic and trump absolutely told his supporters to march down to the capital where the people coordinating that shite stirred them into a frenzy that distracted from the actual attempt to overthrow the entire government.

And this had the most bipartisan support for impeachment of any impeachment in our history... the extent of what happened and the president’s role has to be shown to the American people and he has to be held accountable.... Aside from the whole coup thing, he led his most ardent supporters to their deaths and long prison sentences. I think they’re stupid - I don’t think they’re that stupid. I don’t think they’re “commit serious federal crimes and livestream it” stupid.

Past time for term limits for members of congress.

Going to be hard to heal and unite when none of our representatives can truly think beyond performative legislation and re-election.

Donald John Trump. Ted Cruz. Josh Hawley. Mo Brooks. Louie Gohmert. Tommy Tuberville. Any Republican who used this “Stop the Steal” crap as a fundraiser or knowingly and willingly misled these people.

Every single one of them is more responsible than the people they lied to who then attacked the Capitol.

I couldn’t be more disgusted with the entire GOP right now. Now that McConnell lost his precious majority, he “hates Trump.” Now that someone pooped in his work place and damaged some property, he is willing to admit that he has to “rid the party of Trump.” GTFOH. It’s a little late for all of that. Broken windows policing of the executive branch... smh... it’s ridiculous. The whole thing is ridiculous.
