I've always had a soft spot for Ok State. Chill rural town and good people.
Can never forgive them for losing to Iowa State on a Friday night.

OU looking for someone they might be able to beat
Remember when OU used to dominate their conference? Won the B12 6 years in a row from 2015 - 2020. I wonder if they regret leaving...

Virginia and Virginia Tech would be my guesses.
Doubt they pull two from virgina. If you’re going to double down in a state there’s better ones to do it in. Miami-interesting tv following bc they’re one of the few fanbases in the south that don’t already follow sec teams and the sec doesnt have a strong presence in Miami which is a huge tv market that the canes can actually deliver. Fsu-delivers top 20 ratings with an acc schedule, in a heavily populated state, they deliver better ratings than half the sec already if you replace games against cuse, wake forest, Duke, bc with sec teams it’d be a ratings bonanza. Clemson- basically same as fsu, top 20 viewership against acc sched, sc is one of the fasted growing states and Greenville is a top 5 tv market and Clemson is the driver of that market. I also think unc is way more desirable than any virginia school, to the point where they could bring Duke or ncst with them before Virginia got two in. Basically I don’t see a world where uva AND vt get invited. Could definitely see a scenario where uva or vt gets an invite tho.

if the SEC were to expand, it makes far more sense to make a play for programs in states that are categorically in the southeastern region
what does that have to do with the State of Oklahoma?

...SMU or TCU since they would be in a recruiting hotbed and still reach the media markets of Oklahoma.
Nobody in Oklahoma knows or cares anything about SMU or TCU unless they happen to be alumni who also, rarely, happen to be diehard fans and active boosters. You could live your whole life living and searching throughout the state before you happened upon any of those few.
OU out recruits those schools in their backyards. Easily.

Are you retarded? I was talking about the SEC, meaning the Southeastern Conference.

If we added Ok State can we petition for Garth Brooks (OSU track letterman) than them? Calling Baton Rouge sounds better than Calling Stillwater!

I'm aware you were talking about the SEC. If the SEC was worried about adding teams that are categorically in the southeastern region, Oklahoma wouldn't be here
