From the comment section comes this gem by Mizzou fan Bryan O"Conner

I see it happening in a couple years, I live 40 miles from Mizzou and there's not many people around here happy with the SEC move, not because we don't think they can compete but because were losing our great rivalrys with KU and Oklahoma and we have already lost the rivalry with Nebraska when they moved to Big Ten but they had agreed to play every other year in non-conference play but now even that is up in the air since moving to the SEC. When are these schools gonna wake-up to the fact that the fans what the rivalrys to stay in tact. The "Border War" is the most played and longest rivalry West of the Mississippi in College Football and there is no reason for it end, they can still play it as well as the "Battle for the Victory Bell" Mizzou-Nebraska(which is the #2 longest rivalry west of the Mississippi), you don't just throw away 120 years of rivalrys for money. I see ECU taking Mizzou's place in the SEC when the alumni get sick of not having a great rival and move back to the Big 12.

Mizzou fans on here need to find this guy and give him a paddling

Ok. It is always nice to have someone in the discussion that does not know anything about the subjects being discussed.

CatFan81 has been on this board awhile and I am pretty confident knows her stuff. Therefore you must mean yourself when making the above comment.

Look, I can appreciate the plight of ECU and your desire as a fan for a better place in the future but pissing off long time members of what may be the most read board in the SEC is not winning you any friends or helping your cause.

Whether or not someone on here gets pissed off or doesn't like something I type on this message board has nothing to do with "helping my cause."

No but you should consider banning yourself.

Jk. But seriously. East Carolina? Not a chance.

No. NC State remains a better choice even with the GOR. Until you can create a preponderance of evidence suggesting that ECU will become a better media draw than state or North Carolina, you are stuck in neutral.

There is no need to rush and add a team if its a bad fit. None at all. You are thinking next 5 years and should be thinking next 50.

East Carolina? What the hell is East Carolina?

So yeah, you'd be like school #20 we'd consider.

Oh yeah, Bleacher Report, the worst sports site on the entire planet. Anyone, and I mean anyone, can call themselves a reporter on that website.

For a person who lists customer service in their profile you are not getting the message. The more you run folks down the more you damage the cause you champion and look more like a troll.

No. I noticed that thread and posted on it.

So you posted in a thread on this very same thing, but started a new one a day or two later. Why? So you could link a BR article on the same subject? You probably wrote that shite and are looking for some backdoor way to get your views up.

I think the SECNetwork might have a lot to say with expansion. Being homed in Charlotte. Never say never. Most did not see Mizzou. But as much as you give Mizz hell, the fact that the tv market for the SECN is there mean more. If the GOR is unbreakable, I dont think the SEC will wait 13 years to expand into NC. ECU is at that point the logical choice. It's football program has the second most attendance in the state, behind UNC. Ant Greenville just moved to a top 100 TV market. And it opens up recruiting in southern VA as well.

Be assurred I dont want expansion, but I think this is where we will go. I aslo think Cinncinatti is a target as well, Ohio market will drive the BIG off the cliff. Also Tubbs going there was curious to me.

It's a shame no one on here has a clue what they're talking about...

barring any ACC teams coming aboard, or some combination of Oklahoma/Okie st./Kansas/K-State, ya East Carolina is the best pick

East Carolina would fit right in culturally, and we'd have access to the NC market

the question then is...who is #16?
