No thats dumb. But it should be called Columbus south until they beat a big team in the post season by double digits.

How about your team win one in Knoxville this decade before you worry about what to call the stadium. (Note...for dumbasses who don't know, decades begin in year 1...not year 0).

Losing games is a part a football, claiming a stadium as Knoxville north before getting beat like a mid major is a part of tenner football. There is a difference

I think we should commence the airing of grievances one post at a time.

They were claiming it for attendance. Tennessee was allotted 3,500 tickets as the visiting team.

This is what it normally looks like:

This is what it looked like when Tennessee was there:

Still...it was a really clever burn attempt. Props for that.

This. I really didn't put that much thought in it.

That being said, the Shilo battlefield is one of the most haunting places I've ever visited.

Now...if you really want to tie in the Ohio/Tennessee analogy to the Civil War...In March 1863, the Army of the Ohio (led by General Burnside) moved into Knoxville with no opposition (any confederate defense was similar to the Vols defensive secondary in Columbus).

Burnside's Army of the Ohio (coming in from Knoxville), faced the Tennessee Army of the Confederacy (led by Braxton Bragg) at the Battle of Chickamauga (outside of Chattanooga) in September of 1863. By many accounts, this was the 2nd bloodiest battle of the Civil War with over 16,000 Union and 18,000 Confederate casualties (includes killed, wounded and captured/missing).

Two things to point out...

1. The Ohio army came in from Knoxville to engage the Tennessee army coming up from Georgia.
2. The name Braxton actually did exist before travel baseball.
