I don't think I'd be sarcastic about someone else steady, experienced, senior QB if I was a Bama fan right about now

I agree. They should jump to #1. They did what I thought they couldn't do. If they can get a passing attack, look out...

LSU is better than Bama. They beat them last year 24-21. LSU return's mostly eveyone from that team last year. I just hope that State can score on that defense this year. It's going to be a tough row to hoe if State wants to win the West.

Why should anyone care? It doesn't matter. This will be decided on the field.

Uh, no, it wasn't. It was good enough, and that's never awful!

LSU should obviously move down because they struggled against Oregon, who is a very overrated team that shouldn't have sniffed the top 20.

LSU looked great yesterday. I don't think it matters what they are ranked at the moment.

Would appreciate the nod but I'm not convinced we are the best team at this point. Alabama and Arkansas both looked very impressive. Mississippi State looked very good.

I think we'll find out a lot about OU and FSU when they play. That should be interesting.

LSU should go to number 1. The rankings right now are based on what a team did last year and what some writers expect them to do this year. LSU beat the number 3 team. Oklahoma beat Tulsa and Alabama beat Kent State. The teams that beat real teams should be rewarded for it. That being said, the teams ahead of them aren't going to be bumped down after a win

No/thread. I'm fine with being number 3.

This, we don't need to be number 1 right now. I want to stay away from number 1 as long as possible.

I don't have a gripe if they move up ahead of someone that didn't lose. I don't think it matters and I doubt it will happen. It's just week one, there's going to be a lot of movement in the polls before it's over.

No. LSU should be #3 until OU or Bama lose.

Oregon didn't impress.

It's obvious that they should be, because rankings should be based on the actual play, not how tasty alabama's dick is in the sportswriter's mouth.

that being said, I'd rather stick at 3 for now..
