Should Kentucky petition to end the Alabama series?

Since 1917, Alabama has beaten Kentucky 39-2-1.

Kentucky has only won in 1922 and 1997 and tied once in 1939 giving them a winning percentage of only 6 against Alabama.

That is not right. Kentucky fans don't deserve that and Alabama fans don't enjoy it. Bear Bryant would probably not approve of what the Alabama/Kentucky match-up has become; he loved Kentucky.

If there are any Kentucky fans here, what do you think?

Mike Leach as OC helped give Kentucky one of their two wins against Alabama all time. Yet Leach isn't good enough for the CFB HOF because of a 60% win requirement. I'd like to see Tommy Tuverville who just got in have that success at Kentucky. I think Cincinnati proves the point.

I wish we played Bama more. Seems like we only play Bama once a decade and I suppose that is getting worse now.

For some reason, there was a 25 year dead space between 1947 and 1972. That was the biggest gap. It has been somewhat sporadic from '72 'till now.

1922-1942, we played every single year.

Since 2000, it's been 8 games.

WHY would a conf. member ask that request?

I remember Tn. used to beat y'all yearly. Did they ask you the same question?

That's due to the rotation schedules.

Which, for those fans, is a point FOR 9 games.

A conference member would ask that if there is absolutely no competitiveness in the series, I suppose.

As for Tennessee, you just aren't remembering correctly. The series stands at 60-38-8 giving Alabama a 60.4% win ratio.

Of course, Georgia is an all-time loser against Alabama too at 43-26-4 to give Alabama a 61.6% win ratio against them.

I'm remembering late 80's- 90's where Tenn. just automatically chalked up a "W" before the season started.

Tuberville was 7-3 against Bama. So if you are grading Leach off of one win against Bama as a coordinator at Kentucky, I’m failing to see how that surpasses Tuberville.

Tuberville also found a way to win at Ole Miss… finishing in the Top 25 in 1998. If he could do it at Ole Miss in the ‘90s, he could have done it at Kentucky. Ole Miss had had just two other Top 25 finishes between 1972-1997 (26 seasons) before Tuberville accomplished that in ‘98.

Absolutely not.

Honestly, as a football guy, it gives even people in KY the opportunity to see Alabama live and in person.

There's a lot of slights in your wording and tone. If you needed to feel good about BAMA or yourself today, then I hope the thread helps you.

People or teams that are great don't need to be told. They know it, and they humbly embrace it without fanfare or pontification. Most BAMA fans know it, but there are always exceptions...

If you can end a series because its lopsided Alabama would have dropped LSU years ago

Otherwise, Kentucky basketball would have had to leave the SEC years ago due to a lack of competition. As the last few years prove, we can all get better.

From 1986-1994, Alabama's record against Tennessee was 8-0-1. I guess you are talking about that tie, hey?

If you don't know wtf you are talking about, why reply? What is the point?

Buying out games could be worth considering.

$5,000,000 donation to the other school’s NIL fund=buy out

Or

$500,000 donation for every point spotted
