He and the team should be taking this game seriously and by all accounts they have.
But losing a meaningless Outback Bowl won’t affect his job whatsoever.

Christ no.

All the decent coaches have been hired. Fire Gus now and Auburn would have to do something like hire Chad to be the emergency coach.

Auburn is in a tough game against a well coached Minnesota squad. We will see what Gus manages to come up with during the halftime.

Malzahn sucks. LSU and Georgia support his continued employment.

Who they going to hire that's proven?

Even the "proven" guys (Chip Kelly, Jim Harbaugh, Jimbo Fisher, etc.) have been doing worse than Malzahn lately.

no, they arn't that far away from competing for a championship honestly. A year or 2 more experience for that qb and a couple more weapons on offense and they are right there in it Imo.

They will come back and win. Gus gets a raise and an extension

All bowl games are meaningless outside of the CFP.

These games are good for betting and that's about it.

Should LSU fire Gene Chizik, err I mean Ed Orgeron after he rides his Heisman Trophy winner to a NC?

Orgeron probably had a worse pre hiring resume than Chizik.

Their records were about equally bad, but Orgeron wasn’t at a historically bad program.
