Saban could lose to Miles for the rest of his career and it wouldn't matter worth a damn so long as crystal keeps coming in.

Oh, and again..crystal counts even with a loss to Miles in the regular season...

I see what you did there, but that's idiotic, man. That's like saying Les & Co. can keep losing 2 games a year and as long as he keeps winning the crystal that he'll be fine. Of course USUALLY mulligans don't happen, and winning the national title game with TWO LOSSES don't happen.

Its not at all. IDGAF about head to head against coaches or against teams (see Iron Bowl). 'Ships, man. That's what matters.

This has more to do with Oklahoma State being a nobody on the national stage in so far as "buzz" than it does the media's like or dislike of Saban or Miles

no.

this has more to do with osu's loss to a crappy 6-7 iowa state team.

and alabama's close loss in over time to lsu.

and, the fact that the sec is perceived as the toughest conference in cfb (which should be a lesson in why you want other sec teams to win in ooc games...).

had alabama or lsu lost to an unranked team last year...neither would have been in the nc game over stanford or osu

One more time. Switch everything. If LSU had UA's season (home loss 9-6 and schedule), would they have gotten in?

Someone probably already pointed this out but a lot of people already has us as AP champions (before our zero). And if I remember correctly we once got in the NC game with 2 loses. Your are starting to sound as dumb as the OT.

I'll type slow for you.

AP b4 0 = LSU schedule last year.

Herp derp.

Would LSU have gotten a rematch with Bama's season? Simple as that.

What were you saying about the OT? Oh, yeah. Nevermind. No one is talking about a year where everyone had 2 or more losses. Lawd. Is it that hard? Would LSU jumped OSU to get in with a 9-6 loss in Tiger Stadium to #1 UA?

The answer is obvious but I will explain how the BCS works, they take the 2 highest rated teams. LSU would have been rated as easily the 2nd best team and would be #1 on a lot of ballots and computers. Is that simple enough??

Lsu fans either love to hate Les, or hate to love him.

We'll just win the rest of our games, not make the SECCG then get a rematch we don't deserve in the BCSNCG where we will curb stomp Bama.

So, if LSU switched with UA and had the exact same schedule/wins/losses as UA did last year, the easily would have been number 2 and deserving of a rematch..hhhhhhmmmmmmm

Thank you. I expect we will no longer hear anything about UA "lucking" or "media loved" into the title game. By your own admission if LSU had the exact same resume as the '11 Tide they would be a lock for #2.

yes, we will want his head, but it will be LSU's only loss & we will get a rematch in the BCSNCG after Bama wins the SECCG. LSU will have to listen for 100+ days how they blew that game, Mett is not worth a crap, Les is owned by Saban, Etc. which fires them up so much that they beat Bama 21-0 in the BCSNCG & Bama only crosses midfield once. LSU celebrates by adopting the phrase "One & Done" to try & forget that they lost the 1st game!

This sounds so familiar for some reason.

'lucking in?' thank your lucky stars stanford and oklahoma state lost after the LSU - bama game...

11 - 1 bama would have not been #2 had the cardinal or cowboys sealed the deal.

LSU would have been in the BCSNCG despite a Nov 5th loss.

Anyone who says different is full of shite.

Bama had probably the best D ever in CFB and one of the best Tide teams ever yet he failed to win conference. The margin of error is slight to nil. Assuming he stays 5 more years it's possible, but not probable he wins another conference championship. No way to know, I don't have a ouija board, but I stand by that.

LOL. Wow. Saban has won 2 BCS Titles in the past three years, and 3 BCS Titles in the last 7 years he's been a HC in college. If you don't think he's going to win some hardware in the next 5 years, you're just delusional or naive...maybe both. Were in not for a fluke game where we missed 4 FG's last year, we have another undefeated season with an SEC and NC just like 2009. Plus, if you really believe Saban is going to go sit by the lake in 5 years and watch ducks float by, you don't know the guy well. He will coach as long as he can at a high level. I'm guessing 8-10 years is very likely and in that time frame I see him winning at least two more SEC titles and 1 more BCS title, minimum.

"you're just delusional or naive." ....neither, realistic. We'll see. Two BCS CG's in 3 years...wasn't UF doing this chant just yesterday. Also in 5 years he'll be 66...he might still want to coach, but maybe not.
