Y'all would rather play AU every year than Vandy? Losing the W vs. Vandy would knock USC out making it to the PapaJohn's bowl every year.

No not too heated
Really? Fulmer wouldn't even come into the state of AL, but the rivalry wasn't heated? ummm OK.

GTFO with that shite. We played in the Pizza bowl ONE time. Nice try though.

Alabama would not want to give up it's perennial status with UT since it's such a good rivalry. Plus Bama owes UT a few more arse-whoopins' in retribution for Phatlock's tenure and Memphis messing.
It would keep the divisions balanced as well. One mediocre program for another.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with not wanting to go to media day and talk about Alabama cheating for 2 days. It was because he was afraid. The rivalry was not heated. When you are on a streak in this rivalry we are an after thought. When we are on a streak you are an after thought, we are worried about FLA.

The last part was a joke, but I was serious about trading AU for Vandy being giving away a free W for a 50/50 shot.
Although it would help USC's SOS for their upcoming BCS runs.

I never said the UA/UT game was a bigger rivalry than the UA/AU game. Just said that the "Third Saturday" can get heated at times too.
You're right about y'all being an afterthought though.

You've already got a nice losing streak going. Just build on that for now.
Seriously, CLK leaving UT and them hiring Dooley also cooled things down too. Most UA fans actually...well I won't say like Dooley, but we don't hate him. At least not yet....

Why? kiffin kissed saban's arse for the most part. The only thing even slightly derogatory he said was "Nick should think lance for that recruiting title"

auburn needs Alabama on the schedule. Thats pretty much the only game thats a guarantee sellout for auburn.
When we have huge sections of empty seats at the Iron Bowl, like bryant denny this year, let me know.

50/50? Do you know how long it's been since South Carolina beat Auburn?

I think UT is the 2nd farthest east in the league.
I suggest you look at a map. Columbia, Gainesville and Athens are clearly east of Knoxville. I would think Lexington is less than 100 miles west of Knoxville. Nashville is the only East location significantly west of Knoxville.

I was being generous for the sake of discussion.

Lexington is directly North of knoxville and barely slightly west.
I actually love playing Auburn but the west is already tough enough. Plus, the Little Rock fan base would love a quick drive to Nashville instead of Auburn.
On strictly geography Auburn should be in the east not the west. Vanderbilt should be in the West not the East.
