Thought I would throw my 2 cents out there about how each SEC team looks so far. I kept it short and sweet...

Alabama- Pretty solid overall. Defense is championship caliber and Ingram/Richardson/Upchurch are f'n bowling balls.

Arkansas- Offense is unstoppable if Mallet has time to throw the ball, and defense looks to be improving... I think next year is Arky's year to contend in the west.

Auburn- Offense has really impressed me (especially Tate and Todd), but the defense is swiss cheese. If Chiz & Gus take AU to a bowl this year (which they will), I think AU fans should be pretty happy... it's their first year down at the plains. Ask for a D for Christmas...

LSU- I have no idea what to think of LSU right now because they are playing up and down to the competition... they are big and physical on defense, but the offense is suspect. I still think LSU can kick it into gear at any moment...

Ole Miss- Defense is solid as a rock, but what the f'n Snead happen to the offense? Snead needs some pu$$y to get his confidence back or something...

MSU- Work in progress... I think Mullen will have MSU competitive here in a year or two, but will not challenge for the west.

Florida- Championship caliber defense, but the offense is suspect. The only two real defenses they have played (LSU an UT) have made their O look pedestrian IMHO. UF will probably turn it up though... I have learned not to doubt the power of TT.

UGA- When I think of UGA, I think of one word: inconsistency... not sure what else to say.

Kentucky- A physical Defense and is a better team than advertised...

South Carolina- Very solid D, good coaching, and when the offense and D is clicking... watch out. I think USC is second best in the aast behind UF.

UT- Good D and Crompton led O... hate Kiffin, but he has recruited very well. UT fans should show more patience... you can't rebuild a team in one year.

Vandy- Good school, bad football team

pretty good overview.

I will say about UF..It took the offense 5/6 games to open it up.

That is a good analysis for what we have seen so far IMO.

Pretty fair and accurate IMO.

I also think UK is a bit better than I expected. Cobb is an elite player and I can't ever remember them having a guy like him before.

Great reviews.

They will, only if they can convince some recruits to head over to Starkville. Otherwise I see them as the next South Carolina.

Me too. I have to say I pretty much agree with the OP. I could quibble with a few points, but it's pretty accurate.

As an LSU fan I think we are doing as well or better than most people thought sans the Rant. Nobody else is 5-1 right now with a sophmore QB and our defense is better than I could have expected.

good reviews. you really didn't have to give a review of florida though. i got to hear about them for about 40 minutes after their game the other night and 15-20 minutes on college football live every day. did i mention the tebow interviews??

Typical Saban championship team. Great defense and a solid, albeit not star-quality quarterback who just gets the job done.
