I don't think he was claiming it to be. I think he was saying that certain Bama fans are claiming that, and that Danny Sheridan was going to claim him as the bag man in a couple weeks. He was mocking Danny

I wouldn't neccessarily think that "bag men" were reasonable in and of themselves, but we pretty much all know they exist. Just think if this was the first instance of a "bag man" story. How preposterous would people say such a story was?
I don't see why it's any less reasonable to say Bo Jackson is the bag man than anyone else. Can you give me a few more reasonable candidates.
