Why is this thread still going? So Sheridan said they are trying to get the bag man to come forward. Ok we get it. Now what is there to talk about for this many pages. Has anything else happened that I should know about or is this forty something pages of WDE and company doing another stellar deflecting job?

His source was Gene Marsh on that. Marsh was a frick up and was telling anyone who would listen that it was going to be "ok". Marsh got us screwed & then got himself a role at NCAA.

I think he's recently said that OSU will get a 2 year TV ban as well.
Negative ghostrider.
He did however say that he thought a tv ban was going to be discussed by the committee and that it would not surprise him if it happened. But he ALSO followed that up by stating that that was purely speculation and conjecture. He was not making a prediction at all, just stating that he though the possibility was there. This was in response to a direct question on the subject by Finebaum.

Much like all the "if's" and "allegedly's" that he used yesterday?

Why do you give a shite?
Looks like your team is going to skate in this whole shitstorm ~ Even though you've had former players trying to broker P4P to MSU...

which leads to crux of the 1800 pages w/ the ATPB thread. the two big elephants in the room are:
1. bingo-gate where a lot of money was moving around to buy votes and influence.
2. colonial - uncle sam had to stroke a check for $2 billion to payoff their bad management so they have a very keen interest into finding any illegal mismanagement.
are there connections to Auburn w/ these two big elephants in the room? answer yes. however, it is speculative and it's just as plausible that crimes could have occurred that don't implicate Auburn.
I have yet to see the connection between John Bond (old MSU player) that was interviewed by the FBI and those old gray elephants you're talking about (Milton & Bobby).
They appear to be three seperate issues altogether to me - - - -
i agree. i don't know of a connection either. my speculation was merely that there are two known Federal investigations that have dedicated resources chasing leads in the region. Bingogate involves DOJ & FBI resources from Washington. The FDIC is dealing w/ the aftermath of Colonial's failure and may or may not include DOJ resources to help find crimes that were committed to cost the US taxpayer $2 bil. and no one really knows what they've got or where it's leading too. and as I was clear to state, Auburn could easily be free & clear. college graduates and football boosters commit crimes everyday and almost never do so to benefit their school.
however, my point was simply that if you were trying to find a reason why the FBI was interested in talking to John Bond, it's is very likely it would be linked to an on-going investigation of public interest rather than trying to bust Cecil on tax fraud.

They may very well be, but it always leads back to why would they interview him. Then the other thing is that it would be one HUGE friggin coincidence that those things happen at about the same time!
The had to have a reason to talk to Bond.

well if the former player hasn't been associated with the university since he played there and he is representing the player and not the university, why should we get in trouble? No one associated with the university has done anything wrong, as far as Rogers goes.

So I take it you don't go to AU football games. I know life is much more than football, but tailgating and going to your teams games in the fall is a tradition. A tradition that is 100 times better when your team is elite.
Any AU fan who says that their life won't be affected by a guilty ruling is either lying or never attends the games.
sure its more fun that when its an elite team - no doubt, but unless the football program is completely scrapped - the games will go on and the tradition is there - we may not win many games, but the tradition isn;t changing - so not sure what you mean.
and no i am not lieing, and yes I have been to many games - includin several IB's - so not sure why you made such an absurdly retarded statement like that.

One of my favorite Auburn teams of all time is the 1981 Auburn Tigers.
Record? 5-6.
But they were FUN to watch, played their asses off, and were in every game. And it was obvious from the way they played that they were building for greatness.
5-6.
I love that team.

All I'm trying to say is someone is still being investigated for the recruitment of Cam Newton.
MSU says they did nothing wrong ---- AU says they did nothing wrong.
AU says the NCAA still has the investigation open because they are still involved with investigating MSU.
If neither school did anything wrong while recruiting Cam Newton, then why is the investigation still continuing on?
