But even I never knew that the Mannings broke the confidentiality agreement to get their side of the story out there in Peyton's book.

I think people try to make the dislike of Cam about a stolen lap top but I really believe a lot of it has to do with his in your face antics. People hate a show off. I'd be willing to bet if Cam did what he does on the field quietly most people would probably praise him.

Personally I really don't think the story is about either of them really. It's more about the image both of them have in the general public's eyes and how that image was cultivated by the media. I mean at least a handful of people in this thread have said they had never heard this story about Peyton, yet I bet every single poster on this site know the story of Cam stealing a laptop. I'd think an incident that can very easily be elevated to sexual assault is a far more serious incident than petty theft. And that doesn't even get into the actions of the Mannings since the incident occurred.
Yet I'm the one accused of having white guilt, whatever the hell that is, for recognizing the discrepancy in how their respective pasts and images are presented. I think they're both jackasses, though both are fun to watch play football.

-His "scandal" came in the days of Internet and unlimited publicity. It is not comparable with Peyton's "scandal". That's where the comparison between the two ends.
-He dresses like Liberace
-He was involved in a huge cheating allegation that he blew off like an a-hole "you know like they say, it's an ongoing investigation" smiling
-he acts like an a-hole after each time he scores or makes a good play.
-he acted like a bitch in the super bowl.
-he can't handle himself in front of the media.

Where there is smoke there is fire. The true story lies between this and Peyton's account. If there was a 300k settlement by UT, then something definitely happened.
It obviously bothered her enough to sue. If she is indeed a victim, once again the true story lies in the middle, I don't blame her for taking the money. I don't think anyone other than you would.

Granted, I'm not arguing that Peyton gets multiple years in jail, etc. I'm just arguing that he has had a pass on this particular story. What she is saying and backed by other dispositions is pretty shitty for someone to do.
