If I'm LSU I'd march him around to all the big time Tiger boosters and alumni boxes and have him taking photos and signing caps. Ole Miss will be doing that same thing with Archie and Eli. Gotta keep the money folks happy and take good care of them. But he doesn't belong on the broadcast and Kirby isn't a fool. It's a bad look to have Lane on his sideline. Nothing but a distraction and added motivation for OM players and fans when he makes it onto the jumbotron.

There is no “expense” to ole miss from this interview
Other than ole miss fans being slightly upset for 5 minutes during a broadcast because they have to see him, and honestly who really gives a frick about that
You’ll be seeing a lot more of him during our games roaming the sidelines against yall, and during recruiting battles, and media days, etc much more meaningul…so wasting your energy on a 5 minute interview seems dumb
