All that money and nothing since 1939 to show for it.

Ohio State joins TEXAS as the second school in college athletics history to have a $200 million-plus budget.

All that money, and some SEC programs are making significant budget cuts right now?

Let's see.
School 1 spends just over $206 million to earn just over $219 million.
School 2 spends just over $165 million to earn just over $212 million.
Which one is doing better financially?

That's gross. Now take a look at net.

USA Today purposely does not allow filtering by net.

You're still confused...

When it comes to total operating income, the Aggies appear to be in much better shape. A&M had a surplus of more than $65.4 million, while Texas actually had a deficit of $2.5 million. However, those numbers can be slightly misleading.
In January, A&M athletics' chief financial officer, Jeff Toole, told USA Today the Aggies aren't actually bringing in that much revenue when facilities contributions are considered. Toole told the outlet A&M is "basically break-even, maybe a little less than break-even, for the year."

Let's see.

School 2 has a trophy case that looks like this:

About what I would've guessed. Vandy would be somewhere around State, but doesn't disclose financials because they are a private school. There is money and then there is Texas money.

Vandy doesn’t have to report, correct?

Such a dumb argument that I've only seen an Aggie make but I wont get into that.
1. 212 million is a hilariously fake number that A&m spends a lot of time misrepresenting. Texas does the exact same thing.
2. A&m football program has one of the largest debts in the sport. So does UT.

When you can’t compete just claim the winners are lying. Sad.

Correct, Vandy makes just as much of the tv money as everybody else in conference so they should be in the top 50. But since they aren't a state school, they do not have to disclose financial records to the public. And they don't as a policy.
