Who do you think has more success in the SEC long-term, Texas or OU? And when I say long-term, I mean looking back several decades from now (assuming =the SEC still exists in its current form the the sake of interesting discussion).

Who cares. Hopefully both schools play well and make their fans proud. When A&M loses, I do enjoy it, but when they win, I’m proud to see TX talent and TX schools do well. Sorry, probably not what you expected. Just my opinion.

Long term? Texas. If those boys could ever figure out how to stop being the softest team in America, they could build a nearly unrivaled dynasty. They have the most resources of any program in the country, the best recruiting grounds in their back yard with the pick of the litter, and a national following. OU obviously has performed better historically, but Texas will continue to have more resources and better access to players for the foreseeable future. OU is one bad coaching hire from becoming Nebraska.

Asking which one the board this will perform better isn’t “obsession” or anything close to it. It’s just an interesting question for debate. And a pretty freakin simple one to answer. But you already knew that.
