I doubt we double team. RR isgood, but not double team worthy.

Bama can't stop the deep ball against UF and Ole Miss with no threat of a running game. I think we'll live.

Teams that Beat Saban are teams that expose his secondary...on the perimeter

Was Bama forced into man to man by Arky's run game? No. Bama thrives in zone.

Your passing game revolves around playaction and running the ball first. It has opened up everything for you this year. If you cannot run as effective and Lee is forced to become a pocket passer this year for the first true time, what'll happen?
then he will throw for 300 yards but we dont have to think about that because we will still be able to run for a min of 3 and a half yards a carry

I love how alabama fans talk shite about thier defense from last year, which was one of the best in the SEC.

yeah, he is just leading the SEC in WR stats...but just sort of good I suppose (rolleyes)

Heck if we didn't have 4 other WR fighting over the ball, he would have better stats.

and I am still not convinced he is the best WR on LSU's team... Beckman is darn good!

Any fan of a team that lost to a Crowton offense with JJ as the primary qb should just STFU and see what happens on 05 NOV 11

obviously auburn thought the same

If you put dre on him, he will get burnt for sure. RR is a little better than Debose.

We are the only team in the country that can stop LSU's running game with 7 in the box, 2 deep look.

IF...bama can stop the run only using 7..THEN yes it will be much harder to hit a deep ball to RR or anyone else.

Making the assumption however that your D can stop the run with only 7 IMO is wrong. To do that you have to win the man on man battles between the O-line and the D-line. The D-line is the weakest part of your defense. Our O-line, like yours, has some future NFL talent on it. To my eyes it is unlikely your D-line will be dominant enough to survive without help in the box. Your LB's are superior but their job is to defeat the block of the FB and make the tackle on the Iso plays. It is safe to say bama's LB's have never faced a 275 baby elephant lead blocker...but they will Nov 5th.

To my mind this will be the game. If either team can stop the others running game with only 7 they will have a huge advantage. The truth is however, from watching the film of the last couple of LSU/Bama games, this won't happen. It will be more of a cat and mouse game with both teams trying to sneak help in the box and hoping their superior secondaries can avoid giving up the big play.

You mean the defense that had 10 new starters and no JUCO Jesse Williams?

So those aren't the same guys from last year? And only your guys are allowed to improve? And WTF cares about Jesse Williams? His 3.5 TFL and 0.5 sacks don't exactly strike fear in my heart.

LSU has a deep, experienced, and talented OL that is the best in the SEC by any statistical measure.

Your DL, while good, is paper thin. The fourth quarter is ours. Heck, the third quarter may well be ours as well.

Yes, we can beat you without a deep catch by RR....

Please take note of the following:

1. Our defense is as good as yours.
2. Our running game is as good as yours.
3. Our coach is as good as yours.
4. Our qb's are as good as yours.

I'll stop now, because I could do a "as good as yours" on every component of the team.

The bottom line is this. Our teams are pretty much mirror images of each other. The winner of this game is the team that gets the collective breaks. Turnovers. Calls. Capitalizing. Making the other pay for mistakes.

I have no clue who is going to win this game. Like I've said a hundred times, it's the biggest game of my 46 year old life.

I love Nick Saban as a coach, but I'd want no other man currently coaching any level of football over Les Miles in a winner take all, cage match.

Good luck in the game. I mean that too btw. I want to beat Alabma in a game that's not decided by a call, or a wierd arse bounc.

If y'all win, enjoy your NC

This like one of the LSU fans I hung out with the last 2 games in TT. I wish you guys the best of luck also. I just can't stand all the flaming.

Nice reading comprehension. RR is a good WR, but Bama very rarely double teams a WR. They'll use a lot if bracket coverage, but not straight double teams.
