Was he the gay blade that wrote disparaging articles every single week about LSU during Saban’s first year in BR? Then he tried to act like some big homer and wrote an article comparing LSU, specifically Rohan, to Braveheart and William Wallace when they beat UT?
I hope this is accurate.

Was he the one who ragged on Bradyball at its peak and made everyone irate? ETA: I could be wrong but I think he wrote a column predicting that Chris Porter and Auburn would stomp LSU. Brady & Co pulled off the W and then this Santora fella got a ton of backlash... Or something
So this tracks. My memory of that name is rooted around that magical season. You are on it I think.

2001 would have had a freshman class from the high school class of 2001 which would have been born in 1983. How is that wrong?
Is it possible there were others at LSU during that time besides freshmen? Possibly others more aware of what’s was going on on campus?

There’s a shortage of reasonable places for rent. It will correct and stabilize. Still plenty of people that want to live in New Orleans. Still a great place and that won’t change.

Oh yeah I know Tommy and remember those shenanigans well what an idiot but just young and dumb
What was the context of the article(s) though? Can’t remember.

1980 is the end of Gen X. I don’t need the help of anyone younger than that.

Help me complete a half-lost memory here. Fred’s Jager washed it away.
There was a dude named Tommy Santora writing for the Reveille around this time. He wrote an article that made him persona non grata on campus for a while. Can’t for the life of me remember what it was though. My deadbeat friends are no help. Little assistance?

Go make a big group text and tell all of them they're complete fricking morons - because yes, there was a Taco Bell there
As soon as I got the second confirmation reply, best believe I let that fly! They are currently still in semi denial but that won't last.

Same here.
Then it was an empty lot for a while before Jack in the Box built there.
Is this the spot, OP?
Can't be certain exact location but I just remember going there after Varsity sessions.

I KNEW IT!!
1990s Highland Taco Bell
Posted by FatCatLSU on 10/4/23 at 2:11 pm
I was walking out of the Arkansas game with the wife and some friends. We were walking up Highland near the Weinerschnitzel and I remarked how I was amazed that that place had survived but the Taco Bell that was once near there had closed down.
I was then subjected to much ridicule and heavy insults as everyone in the group claimed that I must have drunk away all of my memory cells because there was never a Taco Bell there. This has been bothering me for two weeks. Am I nuts or was there once a fricking Taco Bell on Highland just North of The Chimes? It would have been 1998-2000 or so.

Not really. Southernmost Beach Resort or Waldorf have small, nice beaches with chairs and service.

Frost River Flight Bag or the duffel if you need more room. Simple and rugged even through heavy use.
I also have a Samsonite Centric when I fly and have clothes I don’t want to get wrinkled. Expandable carryon size. Good for a suit and shoes and still the rest of what you need for a couple days.

Taking the wife for a quick weekend trip to Philly the third weekend of January because we do silly shite like that. This will be the second weekend of the playoffs so looking for a badass place to watch the game and feel the Eagle fandom that is Philly.
Also looking for a great hotel (historic or unique is a plus) and any food suggestions I might not find on a travel advisor list. We love dive bars and scuzzy neighborhood spots.

re: Small business advice request: PPP repayment refinance help

No other forgivable expenses. Overhead is very low by design as we are a bit if a seasonal company. Payroll is really our main expense. To be clear, i used this PPP to pay down other, higher interest debt. This was not an additional liability. I had to continue making the loan payments on my equipment and vehicles or I would have had to liquidate them at a loss or default on the ,loans . Now that we are past that, equipment still here, credit intact, I am simply trying to turn that short term debt into a long term debt. I can conventionally refinance it but thought maybe someone was specifically working with these loans as they are federally guaranteed.

At the time we had no work at all. If I had used it all for forgivable expenses, I’d have had no way to service the debt and would have had to liquidate or surrender my equipment and vehicles and my credit would have been in the crapper. Instead I made payments on the loans and kept everything intact. Not like I took 160k in additional debt here, I just paid down other existing liabilities with it. Remember payments on loans was not forgivable..
Those were dark times for my industry and cash in the bank was looking like the smart play at the time. Perfectly happy with the decision , just want to refinance. I can absolutely go with a conventional loan in order to do that but was specifically looking for a lender that refinanced these because they are still guaranteed by the SBA and it should be an easy deal.

Just curious on why you would choose this.
No work for almost 14 months so financials were in the crapper and couldn't refinance our debt. I needed to service the debt in order to hold onto our equipment. Without good credit and the ability to finance new and additional equipment, I have no business.
