Desperate is what his ego is for sure. He still requires constant validation which is pathetic for a guy who makes millions.

I don't blame him for wanting to get away from your toxic fanbase, surprised he stayed 6 years.

Sure toxic enough to give him everything he asked for and he still blew it. Hopefully he’s worth it for you guys.

Example A: He took you guys to heights you've rarely, if ever, seen, and ya'll can do is whine, moan, and complain.
And use the death of innocent kids as a troll vehicle. Sad.

You think he didn’t blow it? Elucidate how. He never won a playoff game and lost three games to inferior teams with the best defense we’ve ever fielded. I’m sorry the facts hurt your feelings

Only because you guys wouldn't let him coach.

I would’ve fired him after 24 so you’re barking up the wrong tree pal

I guess Ole Miss is the only place where you can "fail" and they still beg to make you the highest paid coach in the country.
And then get so pissed when you leave, that they cry for 2 months straight.

F. He didn’t take the final exam and let his incomplete turn into an F. Golding gets the A.

You are one tough cookie!
You would have fired the only coach since Vaught to win 10 or more games in back-to-back seasons (2023-2024)?
The same coach who would go 11-1 in 2025 and lead Ole Miss to its first ever CFP game?

For going 10-3? Plus OM would’ve owed him $37M of his remaining contract… OM doesn’t have that kind of money to throw around unnecessarily.
There’s bravado then there’s sheer stupidity.

No shite huh that’s why I’m not AD. If it weren’t for Trinidad and Lacy we would’ve lost a minimum of 3 games this year as well and he could’ve left with no issue because he was always going to leave. Sheer stupidity is believing that you can have your cake and eat it too. Admittedly I always jump off the bandwagon early I did it with every coach we’ve had since Cutcliffe.

I’m grading him either a B+ or an A-. I’m a little torn. Gets dinged for boogering up that 2024 team with some bad losses and bailing before the playoffs this year. But he built a program that I think is going to be able to sustain some success and really pushed/helped ole miss be ahead of the ahead of the curve with the way modern college football is. He’s good at what he does and built a team that was able to contend with anyone in the nation. I think when we look back in a few years it will be an A-.

I think an A- is generous for a coach that has never won at any level. I was honestly thinking more like a solid B+
So, still a higher grade than any coach at A&M...

Kiffin's worst season, of course, was his first when they went 5-5 during the COVID season meaning they still had 4 SEC wins and a bowl win over a ranked team (Indiana had 2 losses in 2020...by 7 points to #3 Ohio State and by 6 points to Ole Miss).
Besides that COVID season, Kiffin's worst at Ole Miss still had 8 wins.

Only one grade possible…Failed….DNF
Did not finish. Despite LSU fairy tale smoke and mirrors delusions, the fact is they replaced a guy with a 73% winning record and over a dozen championships at every level with a coach lacking in any integrity, with a 68% winning record, no significant championships, who was run out of the NFL in a short 18 months as a loser, run off from USC, at a total cost of $140,000,0000. LSU T-shirt fans can blow smoke up anyone’s arse they want, but it doesn’t change the facts, Lane has never won at any level as a head coach.
