No power other than being a ranking member of Senate Judiciary? Who controls who gets federal judgeships. I wonder how many SEC law schools alums are nominated for federal judgeships each year? I wonder how many of those might not make it out of committee now? And seems like the NCAA is pretty desperate to get the Save college Sports Act through the Senate. I wonder what happens if a couple of senators from Louisiana force a 60 vote threshold to overcome the modern day filibuster? Does it have 61 votes? Not likely. Hell that may not have 50 right now. I’m thinking the NCAA might be interested in putting their dog back on the leash before all that work blows up in their faces.
And let’s not forget who controls the house floor at least until January to bring any bills up for votes in conference committee if it were to get past the Senate. That’s right the speaker of the house from Louisiana. Could just let it die in conference committee and let the next house take it up…the week after never. lol

What world do you live in? where do you think real power lies? Not in the fricking offices of SEC presidents. In the real world every lever is pulled to get a desired outcome. Leverage is what moves the biggest mountains. And Louisiana politicians have a lot of leverage at their disposal right now like it or not. These idiots are about to get trapped playing a game they know nothing about.
