Bennett was a 250 yards a game that played for the only team that he could be successful with.

And yet you didn't like our RBs, QB or WRs. How was he successful with all that dead weight around him?

And he actually had a bigger single year than any Tennessee QB in their history?

SmokeyOne: Georgia won because of their defense.

UGA Fans: Bennett threw for more yards than any UT QB in their history, though!

SmokeyOne: That's because of all the talent he had around him....on defense.

You can't make this up.

Ok, let’s pretend that’s what happens. Without Heupel he doesn’t even get the chance. If he stays at VaTech he is an undrafted guy that likely doesn’t get a camp invite.

So without Huepel, Hooker would not have gotten that invite to New York?

Oh. Wait.

Good question, which shows off the contradictions of his logic.

15 games, and the other teams playing from behind taking chances on both sides of the ball. Add in a real talent in a TE and even a middling QB can fool the simple.

That never was the myth, so no wonder you are so confused.

Not that you would know this but it takes 2 sides of the ball to force a team to play from behind.

It really was, for some reason UGA fans wanted to believe they have such a high powered O that they could do what Bama did with Tug and just shut everything down in the second half. But if you go game by game(I did and posted it on this site) and read the play by play you will find UGA with passes and pass attempts in their last or next to last possession in all but 1-2 games.

The claim was that Stetson did NOT throw a pass in the 4th Q of 6 games in 2022.

read the play by play

If you read the play by play, you will confirm that Stetson did NOT throw a pass in the 4th Q in 6 games in 2022.

Why is it so hard for you to acknowledge that fact?

The claim was UGA didn’t throw the ball in the second half, but nice backpedal.

I think your QB improved, like a few others in the NCAA, because he could devote full-time to football (since he didn't have the typical class load of most college QBs)

Seriously preacher.... do you really think Tennessee is the only school who's QB does not take a typical class load?

I guess it is a good thing Hyatt, Bru McCoy, Tillman etc weren't nay good, or Hooker might have been invited to New York instead of Bennett. Yet one talented TE elevated Bennett to New York.
Seems like Bowers should have won the Heisman.

No, not about UGA. It was about Stetson’s pass attempts decreasing due to large leads, which is proven by the play by plays that are sadly beyond your comprehension.

LSU is set on offense with exception of OL - OG transfer Lunsford from Maryland and two true fr in Chester and Heard will be counted on to provide depth
TE is young but Mason Taylor is really good

Defense could use another LB and S from the portal

I like the depth on DL especially when several players returned that were injured

Looking forward to improved RB play with two newcomers in Holly and Kaleb Jackson who will be able to complement each other

He can’t comprehend this.

He thinks throwing 1 pass with 15 runs mixed in is the same strategy as 10 passes with 6 runs mixed in.

A debunked myth.

or Hooker might have been invited to New York

An injury cost Hooker a Heisman, UGA being the number 1 team (because of its defensive front 7 and weak schedule) got Bennet a spot he didn’t earn or deserve.

The goalpost has moved again, progress. It went from didn’t throw a pass in the second half to didn’t pass in the 4th quarter to they changed the play calls to a less aggressive play calling. Two more conversions and we will arrive at the he was average and benefited from a deep front 7 and a weak schedule. See there is hope for you.

A debunked myth.

Stetson had 3 games with no pass attempts in the 4th quarter.

What is the myth?
