Attempts per Q:

8.8
11.7
6.6
3.1

Amazing how the real stats prove you wrong so often.

Subtract 2 games worth, or 60 attempts and he still has the 3rd most in the conference and 35th in the nation.

However, Your statement was he didn’t have many pass attempts at all, this is obviously false on every level.

The funniest thing is the only level he is correct in for the 4th q, yet for whatever reason, he can’t admit it.

1 pass attempt in the 4th.

After that first half, be thankful for the RAIN.

Damn, these numbers are not helping your argument at all.

He only averaged 3 per 4th Q.

Thats a far cry from the 20+ throws he averaged in the 1st halves.

You used the term in a way that suggests you have no idea what it means…. And it was in reference to “he only threw 4 times in the 4th…” in support of the original statement of he didn’t throw in the 4th quarter. So the movement involving goalposts was 0 morphing into multiple instances.

No teams starting qb threw less passes per game in the 4th q than uga’s.

Case is closed.

Is this really the final resting place for the goalpost? 7 passes a quarter says he didn’t pass very often period. But given UGAs lack of receiving talent and Kirby micromanaging the O I can see it as feasible. I’ll call it progress on your part and leave this topic. Amazing how far you have come from the nonsense you started with.

Your hypocritical False accusations couldn’t salvage anything respectable in the end.

The point about uga changing strategies with big leads was proven long ago. It started when you ran from the Michigan game of 2021, but really picked up steam when you ran from the 2022 VOL game.

With that said, it’s been extra funny to see your recent self own ITT.

I'm late to the thread

Are you claiming that UGA didn't demolish about half of the teams played?

3 less passes isn’t reinventing the wheel strategy wise slick. Or hell maybe it is under Kirby. Remember when Monken was going to bring the air raid to Athens? If not for a random 4* TE UGA wouldn’t have had an offense the last 2 years.

It ain’t 3……….see Tennessee game:

First half Bennett:: 15/21, 226 yards, 3 tds

2nd half Bennett: 2/4, 31 yards

That’s 17 less pass attempts from one half to another. It would be 18 less if Bennett didn’t have a great td RUN.

The part you may not realize is that UGA blew out a lot of opponents last season.

When a team does that and takes their starter out, the starter ends up not throwing many 4th quarter passes.

That also lowers the total number of passes he has (because he's not throwing in the 4h quarter like he was in the first half because the team's up by 3 scores.

This isn't a hard concept to understand, but teams who are used to their team always being in a dogfight think that every team has to keep throwing the ball a ton late even with a lead because their team does that.

UGA was not UT last year. They had a good defense to go with their offense. They didn't have to keep throwing the ball late in games.

Against Oregon Bennett had 31 pass attempts in the first 3 quarters. 0 in the 4th.

He had 34 against Samford. 0 in the 4th.

23 against SC. 0 in the 4th.

30 against Vandy. 0 in the 4th.

37 against MSU. 2 in the 4th.

29 against LSU. 0 in the 4th.

25 against TCU. 0 in the 4th.

18 against GT. 1 in the 4th.

25 against UT. 1 in the 4th.

That's 9 4th quarters (2 and a quarter games) where Bennett in total had 4 pass attempts. 4 attempts in over 2 games worth of time... because UGA was winning big enough he didn't have to play. And 4 of those opponents ended the year in the top 25.

Yes, he did also have a few games where he kept passing late, because the games weren't out of range for the opponent. he kept throwing against OSU... and ended up with nearly 400 yards because of having to do that. He had 43 attempts against Mizzou because UGA was behind and he needed to keep throwing.

The reality is Bennett ended up with 10-11 passes a quarter in the first 2 quarters, 5-6 in the third and 2 or so in the 4th.

As much as I despise TN I think they are the only team that has a realistic shot at stopping Georgia this year.

I literally have no idea how we will do this season. 3-9 or 9-3. Neither would shock me
