You've never seen anyone say that. You've seen some say they don't care about the NFL, but that doesn't mean we don't care for the wellbeing of our former players. It simply means our college football fanhood doesn't take a shot when our former players don't do well professionally.

So, maybe one? Can you link that? Surely you can provide multiple links, as you referenced Bama fans collectively. So you surely have dozens of links to posts of Bama fans saying they don't care about their players once they're in the league.

I think you misunderstand. The vast majority of your players are not going to be successful pros, no matter who you root for. When one does succeed it's still a nice treat to watch, and when they don't well that's just normal and not worth getting upset about
