I know the rant is a place for shite talking, but between all the sniping and dick-measuring, we're kind of missing how epic of a matchup LSU and UGA would be. Below are some FBS and SEC rankings for some core stats. Other than the numbers, I found it interesting that some of the shite talking is completely misplaced. Bama, based on the numbers, has been really average this season which, given their schedule, is quite surprising. Auburn's defense is raved about but they aren't exactly amazing based on performance. Missouri's defense is considerably underrated while UF is the definition of "meh".

Anyway, here's where things stand now. These two teams head to head will be an amazing game to watch.

UGA's defense is elite:
***17th in the nation pass yards allowed
***3rd in the SEC for pass yards allowed
***4th in the nation for rush yards allowed
***1st in SEC for rush yards allowed (they've get to allow a rushing TD this season)
***5th overall in yards allowed

LSU's defense is mediocre:
***12th in FBS in rushing yards allowed
***2nd in the SEC (40ypg more than 1st place UGA)
***87th in the nation in passing yards allowed (on only 2 more attempts per game than UGA)
***12th in the SEC passing yards allowed
***33rd overall in yards allowed

UGA's offense is pretty pedestrian:
***69th in the country in passing yards per game
***6th in the SEC in passing yards per game
***23rd in the country in rushing yards per game
***2nd in the SEC in rushing pg
*** 31st in the nation for total offensive ypg
***surprisingly, they're 3rd in the SEC for ypg

LSU's offense, as we know, is incredible:
***2nd in the country in passing yards per game (150 more than UGA)
***1st in the SEC in passing yards per game
***73rd in the country in rushing yards per game
***7th in the SEC in rushing pg
*** 4th in the nation for total offensive ypg
***Obviously, 1st in the SEC for ypg

Laughing at the first few responses — our fans are so gracious.

One of those teams lost to a South Carolina team that won’t be bowl eligible.

LSU's 2019 defense is similar to Texas A&M's 2018 defense.

Great against the run, not so great against the pass.

With all due respect to UGAs defense, they haven't seen an offense in the same stratosphere as LSUs.

We will get ours. UGA just has to keep pace. Which they can do if they play well. Reality though is that none of UGAs receivers scare me except maybe Cager. Delpit will live in the box.

No one is slowing down our offense, and your offense wouldn’t put up a significant amount of points on our defense. I’m more worried about Texas A&M than I would be about Georgia, and I’m 100% confident that we’re going to drag our collective sacks across fAggy’s face in Tiger Stadium in a few weeks

Your stats at face value don’t really account for SOS. UGA lost to USCe and you marquee win is either an average at beat ND team, or a decent Florida team (42-28 / 24-17). Georgia has a top flight defense, but I would take LSU’s offense in a shootout any day.

If the game were played today I'd have to put my money on LSU. But there's alot of football to be played by Georgia before we even get to SECCG.

UGA could finally hit an offensive stride with some adustments and things click and go into the SECCG with elite defenve AND offense.

Or UGA gets fricked by Auburn and TAMU and doesn't even get to play in SECG.

Too early for shite talk from any UGA fans right now, there's alot of business to handle.

If that business gets handled, I'll be the most obnoxious shite talker to LSU, but until the East is clinched, I'm not saying shite.

Georgia will curb stomp Aggie in Athens.

Yeah, true....just a bad off day that was. I think Georgia will be laser focused playing on a mission going forward.
