yeah right. the ncaa is known for
1. doing the right thing.
2. doing it swiftly
i know you're not this naive. the ncaa has said the investigation is ongoing.
Guys, we've got to let this go. The NCAA is not going to do anything to Auburn, because they are in it with them. They are the ones that told Auburn to wait until the end or the regular season to declare Cam ineligible, and that they would fix it before the SEC championship game. For whatever reason the NCAA and SEC do not care that Auburn has cheated, and Auburn wants a championship so bad that they don't care. They are going to get away with it, and there is nothing else that can be done about it.

The NCAA is not going to do anything to Auburn
quote:the ncaa remains to be seen whereas slive has totally lost all credibility. when he originally said he wanted all schools out of trouble, it sounded great. it's now clear he's not willing to do what it takes to make that happen.
the NCAA and SEC do not care that Auburn has cheated

The reasons for the ratings drop are pretty simple
Alabama and Florida played in a de facto play in to the national championship in 2009, and then had a supposed epic rematch in 2010. Two undefeated teams with enormous fanbases playing in a game like that, with the entire nation watching.
Auburn/South Carolina just did not have that kind of hype. Nowhere near it.

That, plus nobody cares about Auburn or SC.

Compared to Alabama/Florida, correct.

auburn fans are either not reading this thread or being obstinate. the reason listed in this thread for the ratings drop is because of camgate. you can try to spin it another way but, the people who didn't watch the game are saying camgate is the reason why they didn't watch.

The ratings drop is because #1 vs. #19 doesn't have the same appeal as #1 vs. #2. AU and USC don't have as many fans as ua and UF. The game wasn't a de fact national championship semifinal. Everyone already knew what the outcome was going to be. Anybody not invested in the game turned it off shortly after halftime. Tim Tebow wasn't there to cry.

Plus, a large number never turned it on to begin with, for the first time EVER (raises hand).
