The basic premise is to cross the efficiency measure of the former, but across all positions, with the value principles of the latter -- hopefully as a way of more accurately depicting a given team’s returning production. Returning good players is more valuable than returning only average or subpar players, and not all production is created equal, so this should ideally prove to be more predictive than simply looking at the raw number of returning starters or the percentages of returning production.

Can we take the moniker? "Nasty Wide Receivers"

Damn Bama is stacked. Best WR Corp in the nation.
I hope our secondary is ready and that we can get some pressure on Tua.
I still like our WRs a lot though. We’ve got a good group beyond just Edwards and Shi. Especially if O’Tre can come on this year, and Dawkins.

I expect Kendrick Rogers to be a very good receiver this year. He was injured most of last season, but had huge games against Clemson and LSU.

If Kendrick Rogers could learn consistency, A&M's WR corps becomes MUCH better

What would Saban do with Mizzou, Vandy and Kentucky talent compared to all the 4-5* players that he get's to work with every year?

He went 12-0 in the regular season and lost to one of the greatest teams of all time in the SEC Championship game in 2008 with a roster made up of basically 3-star Shula recruits and a sprinkling of elite true freshmen.
Defense
Bobby Greenwood - 3 star
Terrence Cody - 3 star
Brandon Deaderick - low 4 star
Corey Reamer - 3 star
Rolando McClain - 4 star
Dont'a Hightower - 4 star (true freshman)
Javier Arenas - 2 star
Kareem Jackson - 3 star
Rashad Johnson - 0 star walk on
Justin Woodall - 4 star
Offense
Andre Smith - 5 star
Mike Johnson - 2 star
Antoine Caldwell - 4 star
Marlon Davis - 3 star
Drew Davis - 2 star
Nick Walker - 3 star
John Parker Wilson - 3 star
Mike McCoy - low 4 star
Julio Jones - 5 star (true freshman)
Marquis Maze - 3 star
Glen Coffee - low 4 star
So, I'm guessing he'd do ok.

Only had 46 touches last year and averaged > 10 ypc both rushing and receiving.
If he can (1) stay healthy (2) stay out of the dog house and (3) continue picking up the playbook, he could put up some monster numbers - dude regularly made SEC defenders look silly, but he is still slight and too used to freelancing with the ball in his hands.
Put him on the Harvin supplement plan and dump it to him in the slot 10 times a game and he could put up 1500 all purpose yards.
I expect major disappointment though. Seen too many players just never take that next step.

It wasn't our best team ever or anything, but he went 12-2 and won the West with basically Mike Shula's team and his first full recruiting class as true freshman. If they had a "team talent" ranking that year like they do on 247 now there is no way that bunch (especially if you are just looking at starters) breaks the Top 15.
The 2009 team had much of the same starting lineup as well, FWIW. He took 2 and 3 stars plus young elite talent and went 26-2 in 2008/2009 and won a SEC title and National Title (all while having an absolutely stacked Florida team to contend with in Atlanta both years).

We've got some talent at the position, but none of it is returning. Going to be an interesting year for sure.

That first year he wouldn’t win the title
But just being Nick Saban. He’d easily recruit said players to those teams
Saban has built himself up already.
The talent will follow where he goes

This guy is a ton of fun to watch with the ball in his hands.

I strongly disagree with this. He is the best coach and likely best recruiter that has ever existed in CFB, so let me get that out of the way. But he succeeded bigly first at football factory LSU and then went to the stratosphere at the greatest CFB program of all time where you'd have to basically be incompetent to not win. If saban were at missouri or UK or Vandy as the other poster mentioned, I have ZERO DOUBT he would improve them, likely within 1 year, and of course drastically improve their recruiting.
But those are still lower tier programs. To think he would have missouri doing the same thing he did at LSU or bama is simply fantasy, IMO.
