That can not be overstated. Alabama returned a ton of talent in 2010 on offense, but lost three starting offensive linemen. A young offense line, coupled with injuries never allowed the offense to find consistency. On the flip side, veteran offensive lines at Arkansas and Auburn are a big reason why those two programs are going to BCS bowls. Who will have veteran OLs in 2011? Alabama and LSU. Both bring back 4/5 starters on the offensive line. I'm stating right now, along with the nasty defense both will have, that the West will be decided in Tuscaloosa next year between Alabama and LSU.

Then why can't you do it?
We will. You will see. Much of our non-skill position talent is VERY young right now and we get almost all of our skill position people back next year.

Tennessee definitely has talent on the offensive line. But a young offensive line in the SEC is likely not going to be a good one.

If we get one of the two Juco's we're going after, we'll be more than fine on the OL.

2012 is when MSU returns to Atlanta, book it.

I don't know if the state of Mississippi could even point out Atlanta on a map.

Miss. St. is definitely improving, but ya'll aren't getting to ATL anytime soon.

You guys are out of your minds.

With the Right Reverend leading the troops, look for Ole Miss to run through the competition on its way to Atlanta next year.

(OK, just couldn't say it with a straight face. )

1. LSU
2. OLE MISS
3. Alabama
4. Mississippi State
5. Auburn
6. Arkansas

LSU and Ole Miss finally develop a QB. Jordan Jefferson for LSU, Randall Mackey (highly-touted Juco QB).

For Ole Miss, the offensive line becomes the anchor of the offense. This allows Mackey to have time along with a stable in the backfield in Bolden, Davis, and J. Scott will also have plenty of opportunities to show their talents. Logan, Harris, Grandy, Sanders all progress in the off-season and form a legit WR core. Defense will return Lockett and Powe and we may finally see some of our young DL step up - that may be asking too much, we'll see.

AJ McCarron is no where near McElroys poise in the pocket thus Bama looses its swag, AJ basically under-performs (not Bama standards) making every game a struggle, losing a few too many.

Auburn will be nothing with out Cam Newton.

Relf will have a huge slump as he loses most his o-line, Mullen will probably sub in the back-up. All confidence is lost by then.

Just fwiw, State is returning 3 starters on the oline and 8 on the two deep. they're going to pound that black bear arse for the 3rd straight year in DWS.

We will be fine on the line. We lose 3 seniors but it wasn't like they were world beaters except for 1. I think we will be the same on the line. Our center was a true freshman I'm pretty sure. Hopefully, Oden can find get his head out of his arse and block someone (I know he was out with mono, when he did play last year he looked horrible) Auburn loses way more quality on the line.

Yea no offense to the OP, but disregarding Alabama was kinda ridiculous. Alabama is going to be completely stacked and returning all kinds of experience. Sure they're breaking in a new QB, but they were last year too...

My guess on the favorite would either be Arkansas or LSU. If Mallett stays I could see them being the favorite. If not....that other QB...Wilson?...isn't bad at all.

I just don't think Leach's system would bode well in the SEC. Past couple times he has went up against SEC teams his offense was shut down by the defenses.

he will have more talent than he had at tech at LSU plus he will adapt his game some. Leach isn't a dumbass like gary so im sure he will adapt a little and leave some. If you think about it though our offense can't get any worse, they go 3 and out so much they wear down our d and the lack of scoring puts major pressure on the d. leach will score points.

his main problem at tech was d and over all talent.

fwiw its a pipe dream that he comes anyways bc les wont give up the control needed to get him.

They had 469 yards of offense against OM in the Cotton Bowl

Even if it was a blowout, I don't see how you can call that being "shut down"
