LINK /
That link ranks programs by revenue EXCLUDING things like media payouts, playoff payouts, and institutional support so it's more of an apples to apples comparison across conferences and teams.
SEC newbies
1. Texas
5. Texas A&M
7. Oklahoma
29. Missouri
BIG newbies
11. Oregon
21. Washington
22. Nebraska
37. UCLA
47. Maryland
51. Rutgers
? USC is private, but I would guess 10-15.
Let's look at some ACC schools as this is where the SEC would expand further, if at all:
12. Clemson
13. Virginia
15. Florida State
16. Louisville
27. North Carolina
32. Virginia Tech
36. Georgia Tech
? Duke is private
? Miami is private

UVA at 13th has to be a one time thing. Must've gotten some giant donation.

Someone mentioned that exactly, like $40 million one time donation. But still better than expected if it's normally hanging around UNC.

We got the state of Texas basically. Can't say that's a loss.

Subsidized to the tune of $23 million.

3/4 are top 7, including #1 and the 4th is still top 30
B1G has none in the top 10 and only 3 in the top 30. Congrats on a bunch of filler I guess

Definitely an outlier. They recorded anywhere from $105 mil to $110 mil per year the prior 5 years.

Ou, Texas, a&m. Head and shoulders better addition than Oregon, usc, Washington, usc, UCLA. Bet more eyeballs on average watch tv more than those old pac 12 teams. ,
Mizzu? They started off strong but don’t seem to have embraced the competition since First several years
A&M has always been the right coach away from a Natty since joining. Fire Jimbo in a few years and make petrino head man.
Rest of big ten on list equate to bottom 1/4 of SEC.
So SEC clearly winner
