Remember we really struggled against V. Tech and couldn't pull away until we wore them down with depth in the last quarter. LSU and Ole Miss has the depth on the line to keep it interesting and won't wear down so easily.

1) Wearing a team down is part of game strategy, and good coaching/conditioning.

2) Neither OM or LSU has a Defense as good as VTs.

You're right. Now Bama has to play some SEC Football. I think Bama will drop 2, possibly 3 of the next 6 games. With 2 to 3 losses, and playing at Auburn at the end of the season, I don't see how Bama will be in Atlanta come December.

Wishing and hoping wont save you. If you have a reasonable rationale, other than hoof in mouth disease, please enlighten us.

They have the talent, they just aren't playing up to potential right now.

LSU's defense isn't playing that bad considering we have a first year DC, who is still trying to implement his system.

People act as if Chavis draws his defenses up with crayons, and it's so simple we should be hitting on all cylinders by the 3rd week of the season.

It's going to take time.

Not bad, just not what I expected from LSU. LSU's D-line has been hell the past couple of years and I've gotten use to seeing that intensity from them. I'm sure it'll start coming together soon. Hopefully AFTER yall play us.

You have no idea about this with it being this early in the season.

The D Line play has been shitty as well as OL. The team has played a mobile QB every game so far this year. Locker, Vandy QB, and ULL's guy could move. We've been playing mostly contain instead of true pass rush. We're getting better though. Our D-Line depth is also a sore issue.

We got that Juco-DT this past year, and he was going to play alot, but he's hurt. He may redshirt. So we're pretty thin there.

Yea...injuries are a b1tch! We are 1 injury away on the O-line or 1 QB injury away from dropping 3-4 games easy. Right now your defense is thinking and not reacting because they're trying to get Chavis's scheme down just like Saban's team the 1st 2 years. It's going to come...it just takes time and ur gotta take some lumps 1st.

SEC up until now
Excellent post. I agree with what you stated. I especially agree with your Florida observations. Tebow took quite a load of that game on his shoulders and he will end up getting tired or injured if he has to continue this. UF will be beatable at some point down the road. October 10 comes to mind.

Tebow put that game on his shoulders because he had to. We are dealing with a number of injuries at WR right now, hopefully DT will be back next week. Aaron Hernandez had the flu, tough to judge a team when the game did not showcase a healthy unit.

We didn't look great and that is the truth. Whether that has to do with extenuating circumstances (Apparently a number of key players were dealing with the flu, and spikes having tendinitis with his Achilles seemed to really hurt our run D) or if we just played bad or what I don't know. The team looked sluggish and frankly they looked like the same team as last year PRIOR to losing to OM. I think we will know more next week as UK looks to be legit.
