When to we commit to contracts with players and start trading players within the conference?
Mississippi State could have traded Van Buren for the futures on one of LSU’s 2026 blue chippers, and maybe a freshman WR instead of letting him walk for free.

Bc we are still playing school and not signing them to contracts. Isn’t the whole revenue sharing thing the payroll?

If I was some online school company, I’d try and figure out a way to host classes that universities can sign up for and offer to students.
Athletes would flock to them.
Then when inevitable mid season transfers/trades start, a player could do it without missing a beat in course work.
There would be a few issues (like tuition reimbursement) to work out, but I bet something like this is where we are headed for professional athletes who still have to pretend to be students.
