I had to duck out for a meeting at work. Who else did we pitch besides CJ Smith and Cairnes?

I couldn’t care less about the loss but I’m pissed about Meadows. We are easily a better team with his bat in the lineup. Hope for his health he’s ok given the location of injury, but he’s pretty integral for our regional chances too.

On the bright side looks like some young guys got some tournament experience which is good for the program moving forward. Really would prefer not to go 2 and Q in Hoover but I’ll settle for making it out with everyone healthy at this point

Next game should start at 2:10-2:15. There are worse things in the world than Georgia losing

Georgia at least tied a record today. 8 shutout losses in the SEC tournament

That is actually very fair. I wouldn't want to face him either.

Even in 2008 we sandbagged in Hoover. Just never really been our thing to do well in this tournament for whatever reason

ETA: Geez, 2 downvotes for the truth? Sensitive bunch up in here. UGA has never played well in Hoover, why does that illicit a negative response?

Good call. Ole Miss is more beatable if its Auburn with Mize starting.

I dunno. Y’all lost 2/3 at Bluebell to Ole Miss and Mize’s past two starts have been bad, not just underwhelming

Every game was decided by 1 run that series. We could have easily swept if not for making something like 4 or 5 errors those 2 games.

I would imagine that depends on what happens in their game today

We’re throwing Rolison today and would likely throw Feigl tomorrow, almost certainly if we lose but likely regardless. Our starters aren’t great away from Swayze, so hopefully they buck that trend

I think we throw Feigl tomorrow regardless. We don't need to win this tournament. We do need to win another game or two to help secure a national seed.

....if for no other reason than the WAOM factor.

I like our chances whenever we face a fastball pitcher. We chased this dude pretty quickly a few weeks ago.

not sure if it's been posted yet, but JJ Schwarz is out a couple weeks with a broken hand

Catcher JJ Schwarz suffered an injury in the second game against Mississippi State and left the contest. He didn't play in the series finale on Saturday, either. The Gainesville Sun's Pat Dooley reports that Schwarz suffered a small break in his right hand after taking a foul ball off his hand. Sources inform Swamp247 that Schwarz will miss at least the SEC Tournament and could miss a couple weeks with the injury.

Two wins and a swift exit by Georgia and/or Arkansas guarantees a national seed I’d think. Maybe even one win if Arky and Georgia both miraculously choke. Rolo was dealin’ to open the game though
