Vandy has done a great job getting double plays. I think they have 3 this game alone. 
Chafin has to be about done. I doubt his PC has been this high very often.

And a lot of "experts" are saying this is a must win from a regionals perspective as well as an SEC Tourney one. Very important

Vandy is safely in the NCAAs. A&M would like this one to get off the bubble.

I am no expect, but this feels like a win A&M needs to feel safe. It may or may not be the difference. 13-18 in conference shouldn't be good enough to get in.

Finished sixth in the western division at 13-17 and only won three SEC series (LSU, Alabama and @State)

I am well aware. We have plenty of warts.
Vandy lost 2/3 in a tourney in Houston, got swept by UF & Auburn, lost series to both Mizzou & USC, and dropped 7 mid week games including 267th Belmont, 186th East Tenn, 172nd Lipscomb, 149th Middle Tenn.
Winning 3 more games in conference seems to hold a lot of weight.

A bonus is that we can probably bring Hoffman back out for the 9th. He's only thrown 21 pitches through 2 innings.

In the SEC, 3 more conference wins is huge. Vandy sweeping UK last weekend instead of just winning the series has appeared to make all the difference for the NCAAs. 15-15 coming into today would have likely made this a near must-win game for Vandy.
